Chapter 32: Perfect

-Serena POV-

If only I kissed him. That's the only way today could be better. I lie in bed and imagine my pillow as Ash's chest. It's not that hard to imagine, as I have slept with him before. When I think about it, my face turns beet red. I love him so much. I hug my pillow and fall asleep.

BEEP! BEEP! SLAM! That's the first thing that happens on Friday morning. I get ready for the day and start to gaze at my picture frame lovingly. Oh Ashy. I will kiss you one day, and if you except me, I will stay by your side forever.

I walk to my class, and hear Ash singing, "I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST, LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS.... DUH DUH DUH DUH!" Silly Ash. I poke him on the shoulder. "Hey, do you want to come to my dorm later today? So like at 5:30? We still need to work on our project after all." He nods to me and continues singing his song.

It's almost 5:30 and I am getting ready for Ash to come over. Just as I am finishing up, I hear a knock on the door.

-Ash's POV-

Knock knock. I knock on Serena's door and wait for her to open it. Just as I am about to knock again, she opens the door. We decide to revise our 3rd and 4th chapter. 

When we are finished, she invites me to stay a little while. We ask questions to each other, eat some food, and have fun, all while the radio is playing.

Suddenly the radio cuts to a song. The first few notes play, and Serena sighs dreamily. "I've always loved this song." "Well do you want to dance?" The words surprise even me, and I'm the one who said it. She giggles softly, and pulls me up as the song starts to play.

The song that plays is 'Perfect by Ed Sheeran' (A/N: I don't know how to paste music sorry :/ ).

"I found a love.... for me. Darling just dive right in and follow my lead."

The music plays as Serena starts to dance and I find myself moving with her.

"I found a girl. Beautiful and sweet. I never knew you were the someone waiting for me..."

The radio plays as we move to the music.

"'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love. Not knowing what it was. I will not give you up this ti-i-ime." 

I spin her around and she starts to giggle.

"Darling just kiss me slow. Your heart is all I own. And in your eyes you're holding m-iiine."

We continue to sway back and forth only focusing our eyes on each other.

"Baaaby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass, Listening to our favorite song. When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath. But you heard it, darling you look perfect tonight."

I pick Serena up with my arms, and twirl her around, which she seemed to really enjoy. I put her back down and we continued to move to the rhythm.

"Well I found a woman. Stronger than anyone I know. She shares my dreams, I hope that someday, I'll share her hooome."

We continue dancing in each other's arms, focusing on nothing but each other and the music. I dip her down, but make sure to hold her tight, until I pick her back up and twirl her around again.

"I found a love. To carry more than just my secrets. To carry love, to carry children, of our owwwn."

My has grab her hips and we slow dance around her room.

"We are just kids but we're so in looove. Fighting against all odds, I know we'll be alright this tiiiime. Darling just hold my hand. Be my girl, I'll be your man. I see the future in your eyyyes."

We continue to dance around the room, and right when it says 'eyes', I look into her eyes and it shows... hope? It also shows longing and desire. But I don't focus on that right now, and continue to dance with her.

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song. When I saw you in that dress, Looking so beautiful, I don't deserve this. Darling you look perfect tonight."

I pick her up, and twirl her around again, keeping my eyes on her the whole time. I feel an urge to kiss her suddenly, and I can't explain where it came from. But, we just continue to move to the music.

"Baaby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song. I have faith in what I see. Now I know I have met an angel in person, and she looks perfect, I don't deserve this, darling you look perfect tonight."

Through the last verse of the song, I twirl her around once more, and then I feel myself leaning in, and I kiss Serena on the forehead. And it feels so right. Her eyes go wide, before she giggles and hugs me tight. 

She says, "Wanna watch a movie?" I nod, and she puts in a romance movie. But while watching it, I feel like I am still missing that one crucial piece of the puzzle. The movie is good, and the ending was quite well done. After the credits roll, I turn off the TV, and notice that Serena is asleep on my shoulder. I pick her up, but while holding her, I notice a photograph. My eyes widen, and I put her on her bed, as gently as possible, before kissing her on the cheek. 

"Sweet dreams, Honey."

Yes! It finally happened! Ash realized! But, this book is not done yet. I still have at least 10 chapters to write.
