Gran sings through the house as she comes to our room carrying Freja "Merry Christmas my little cherubs goodness me look at these full stockings" she says "I got a dolly Gran" Ellie tells her "Have you my angel Let Gran see" she says "Its a Princess Anna, she talks" she tells her "From Frozen" just so Gran knows "Well aren't you lucky" Gran says to her "And what have you had Amelia" Gran asks her "Go on darling you can open yours" Diane tells her she seems so shy and a bit overwhelmed by it all "Come on Sweetheart lets see what he got you" Dad says bending down to her and she takes one of her presents out opening it carefully and quietly and her face lights up when she spots her present "A Elsa Doll Uncle Will look" she says so happy "Well I never how did father Christmas know you liked Elsa" he asks her "I said in my letter" she tells him and Diane is almost in tears as Dad puts his arm around her. Ben goes to get out of bed "Ben good god boy what the hell are you wearing" Gran says to him as Ben looks down pulling a face "Gran it's a onesie" he tells her "You look like an over grown baby" she says making Dad and Diane laugh "Oh Gran I think he looks cute" I say to her "I dont care what you say Gran its the comfiest set of pj's Ive ever had" he says putting his arm around me while Gran just gives him that look.
"Well I think Father Christmas has left some other things downstairs shall we go and see" Gran says and they all parade downstairs in the hunt for their presents "Come on then sweetheart let's see what he's brought us" Ben says to me and I smile as he helps me up "Damn you are sexy in that onesie" he says to me "Hmmm not so bad in yours baby Ben" I say laughing at him "You have to ruin the moment don't you" he says doing that pretend sulk. I can hear various gasps moans and screams as they find their loot under the tree. "Look Mummy Father Christmas liked Gran's mince Pie" Riley tells us all "And he drank his drink" he says as I look at Gran as she licks her lips making me laugh "Are those presents for me Uncle Will" Amelia asks "Well is that name on that sack" he asks Ben had managed to get hold of old style sacks and had the kids names put on them including Amelia straight from the north Pole as it said on the label. "Yes it is" she says "Then they are for you my darling" he says to her "Can we open them Daddy please" Riley asks "Of course you can matey, how about you open the big ones first" Ben suggests to them and they start to frantically unwrap to reveal a brand new bike for each of them, Cars one for Riley and a Frozen one each for Ellie and Amelia.
Diane comes up behind me "Lis, this all means to world to me I just wanted you to know that Will, Gran, You and Ben have been so good to her she's never been so spoiled" she says "Well then I think it's about time don't you" I say to her "But so much all of this must have cost a fortune" she says "Well lets just say we came into one a few months ago and were determined to use it to make the kids happy and now that includes Amelia" I tell her she smiles but she looks worried "What's wrong my love" I ask her and she gets her phone out of her dressing gown pocket and shows me a text message

I look back at her "Oh darling have you shown this to Dad" I ask her and she panics "No god no I don't want to ruin his Christmas" she says "It will ruin it if he thinks you are afraid and unhappy Diane" I tell her "Tell him because he will say the same thing that I'm going to, that you have nothing to be scared of you are safe here trust me and even if he does turn up today of all days there are enough strapping fellas around to see him off, we will keep you safe you and Amelia, you're family now yeah" I say to her and she fills up "Thank you Lisa" she says "Now unless I'm very much mistaken there's a pile of presents under that tree for you too. I tell her and she heads off to Dad wanting to talk to him
