shallow. The adjective shallow can describe things that aren't very deep, like a shallow puddle, or people who don't have much emotional or intellectual depth, like shallow people who judge others on their looks and how much money they have.

Sorry, was I not allowed to have an opinion? Does your opinion have to speak for me? Does everything I like have to replicate your likes? The answer to that is No.
You may not realise what you are doing but trust me, the comment you made to sound surprising sounded judgmental.
Some people like muscley, sporty people,
Others favour the quiet polite ones, where as some (me) prefer the band members. Like who ever you want to like because chances are: they Like you too! I mean, did Juliet listen to her judgmental mother? No! She went for Romeo, then died!
Remember, It is the person's own personal view and interest, and trying to make someone feel bad for liking something / someone is a dick move. If the world didn't have opinions and views ... Well we would all be singing and dancing badly to one direction wouldn't we?
Now, the main point of this is the two highlighted words. YOU AND HIM. no where did you see I. Speaking for the person asking the ridiculous question. If it were "Ew why do YOU like HIM. I think he is weird looking" that would then give me cause to kill you. Don't confuse your opinions with others, we won't all like curly haired, boy band type humans.
Obviously, freedom of opinion / speech is a basic human right, and no one is taking that away from you but, maybe your mouth should be quiet.
People who type like this:

Are the people who irritate me and do not get my attention. if you type like that, then I am sorry but I've probably claimed to have read something and spent 20 hours trying to decode this shit.
Do you know what else I have discovered? Internet people are very shallow. Mostly the face book users who claim to be "fat or ugly" or "butters" (who the fuck says that!?) But then their whole wall is pictures of them, with the occasional inspirational quote. That goes like 'if a boy can't see your inner beauty, you shouldn't see him' to be honest, that shit belongs in a pop song.
girls - having professional photos taken, and posting album after album of them on your page doesn't make you a model or celeb, it makes you come across as vain shallow and self obsessed!
Because in reality you just wasted £200 on a photo taken in a room with a bad backdrop, which by the way you could have taken at home. Congratulations.
The point of this was people seem to have it screwed into their heads, that their opinion is what everyone should go by. If someone likes someone, don't pass judgment. Especially, if you are friends. This seems to happen a lot with close friends, they like to share their crushes and what not, resulting in hurt feelings and obliviousness from the person in the firing line. So, share love, and cake. And crush on people in silence.
