We arrived on Naboo, it was somewhere I always loved. I couldn't believe Kylo actually brought me, when he said we could do whatever we wanted, I presumed he meant within the Starkiller base.
Before we had left, I asked him if he could maybe not wear the whole gear, as in his black robes and mask. I knew that people would be terrified of Kylo Ren. They wouldn't be of Ben though, most people didn't know what Kylo Ren actually looked like under the mask. He very hesitantly agreed to my request. He just wore a simple black sweater with black sweatpants.
We were about the leave his command shuttle,
"(Y/n) wait." Kylo said.
"What is it?" I turned around to see him holding something.
"I uh wanted to give you this. I know you don't particularly like the black clothes provided on the Starkiller base." He said handing me the folded item of clothing.
I unfolded it and held it up to see a blue silky cloak with little pink flowers embroidered around the shoulders. "This is so sweet. It's beautiful..." I said putting it on, it had two little slits for my arms to go through.
He didn't respond, he just nodded. I twirled around letting it flow. I saw a small smile spread across his face. The door of the command shuttle began to open slowly. When it was completely open I stared at the gorgeous sight in front of us.
We were staring out at the fields in Naboo. I didn't know what they were actually called but I always remembered where they were. The fields were huge and went on for miles. It was a really lovely place. I grabbed Kylo's hand, ran and pulled him all the way down the ramp and onto the field.
The grass brushed off my legs, tickling me. I took in a deep breath and twirled around again. Kylo had been standing really stiff and tensed up but when he looked at me spinning around, smiling, he relaxed.
"Come on." I started to run to go down one of the hills. I stopped to see Kylo standing there not moving. "You coming?....No?".
"Well uh- I dont know about-" He said awkwardly.
"It's alright. I get it, running through fields in the sun isn't really Kylo Ren's style." I laughed walking back to him and he put out his arm. I took it and we walked most of the way down the hill, just taking in the view.
As we were getting closer to the bottom of the hill, I was feeling bold. Kylo was zoning out and I decided to push him. Yes. Push him. He was caught completely off guard, and fell down rolling the rest of the way down the hill.
He sat in the grass staring up at me, "What was that for ?!?!" He shouted.
I couldn't help but start go into hysterics, I couldn't stop laughing at him. He just looked at me, so confused. I threw myself onto the ground and rolled on my side all the way down to him. I ended up beside him sitting in the grass at the bottom of the hills. Kylo just stared at me with a confused smile.
"What? It's fun!" I said lying back onto the grass. I knew I was acting like a child but it was only because of my memories of this place.
"Yeah I guess, it wasn't that bad." Kylo said chuckling slightly and lying down next to me.
"I love it here...." I said staring up at the sky.
"How come?" Kylo asked.
"Well, I mean some of my happiest memories are here. When I was really young and actually had a family, my parents would bring my brother and I here. It was so much fun. " I said sitting up.
He sat up with me, "You're brother? You've never mentioned him and I haven't seen anything of him in your mind."
"Yeah...he's not- well um. He passed away, a long time ago. I never really talked about him or anything." I said sighing.
"What happened to, pain is meant to be felt?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah...I don't know. I didn't have time to grieve to be completely honest. I had to grow up real fast, make my own way in the world. My parent didn't stick around after Jaev died..." I said pulling the pieces of grass that had gotten stuck in my hair out.
"Oh I see..." He said looking down.
"Can we not talk about this now? I just want to have a nice time. This is such a pretty place." I asked.
"Of course." Kylo nodded. "What would you prefer we do?" He asked.
I had an idea, it might've been pushing it a little bit but he did bring me to Naboo, so it couldn't hurt to ask. "You ever think about doing something different with your hair?" I asked smirking.
After a long ten minutes of arguing, I was standing over him braiding his hair.
"Ow!" He said as I pulled one of the strands. hair back tightly.
"Oh get over it, you baby!" I said laughing.
I braided the top of it and left the rest of it down. I thought it looked quite good.
"I'm proud of myself." I said standing in front of him with my hands on my hips.
"Yeah I hope you had fun, because I didn't. That really hurt!" He chuckled.
It was so heart-warming to see him having fun, even if he wasn't willing to admit that he was having fun. "I wish it could be like this more often." I sighed, plopping down onto the grass in front of him.
"I know what you mean..." He replied. "It will be...some day."
"What?" I asked.
"I mean we can be happy together, I just need to figure things out." He replied. together.
"Together? So we are together?" I asked smirking slyly.
"That's not...I mean- I don't know." He trailed off awkwardly.
"I'm just joking. Calm down." I smiled.
"That makes sense." He said, which ironically that comment didn't make sense to me. Why would it make sense that I was joking?
We spent a little more time just hanging out, surprisingly no one else came, people used to come here all the time. We back to the command shuttle and got inside. Kylo sat in the pilots seat and I sat in the seat next to him.
"Thank you. It meant more than you know to come back here, especially with you." I said grinning at him.
"You're welcome." He returned a small smile.
And with that we were headed back to the starkiller base. Ugh.
