"Wala Ka"

I was scrolling down on facebook when I saw a photo of a sweet couple. My heart raced and my hands began to tremble.
Tinawagan ko ang boyfriend kong si Carlo para kamustahin siya. It's my two years here in Canada as a nurse and he is also a nurse in Philippines. Yes, nagwork saamin ang long distance relationship. Pinupuntahan niya naman kase ako dito tuwing holidays. Isang ring pa lang naman ay sinagot na ito ni Carlo.
"Hello, baby. "
Baby? Kailan pa naging baby ang tawagan namin?
"Love." I said forcing my self to not overthink.
Natahimik ang linya niya kaya nagsalita na ako.
"Who's baby, Carlo? " I asked.
"Uh.. Love, ikaw pala to. " he is stuttering.
"Where are you now? " I asked.
"Uh. Duty ko ngayon, Love."
No. This is not Carlo. He can't do this to me.
"Carlo, are we cool? " my tears flow.
"Chana....."
"Carlo, kailan pa to? "
"I'm really sorry, Chana. Bumalik siya."
Si Lia ang tinutukoy niya. His first love.
"No. Carlo, this is not true right?! " parang falls ang luha kong tumutulo.
"Chana. Sorry. " he said.
"Bakit, Carlo? Anong nagawa ko? "
"Bumalik siya, Chana. Wala ka noong kailangan ko ng masasandalan. Wala ka noong kailangan ko ng karamay. Wala ka noong kailangan ko ng kasama sa lahat. Wala ka noong kailangan kita."
Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa picture kanina. It's him with Lia. Lia's showing her finger with a ring on it. Nasa likod niya si Carlo, nakayakap.
"Wala ka, pero nandito siya. "
