The Girl That They Chose

We're in a relationship for almost four years. Nalalapit na ang graduation namin. Yes, we're in the same university with the same course. We're not living in the same roof. Legal din kami sa pamilya namin.

The last text Blaze sent to me was 'I love you'. Nakatulugan ko siya kaya nag apologize ako kinabukasan. Masaya ang relasyon namin, syempre hindi naman maiiwasan ang away minsan.

Lalo na nung dumating ang time na niyaya niya akong magdate pero hindi siya dumating. He said, 'Vernice needs me now. ' isa lang yan sa sunod sunod na sinabi niya saakin. In other words, that Vernice is more important than me.
Days passed. Vernice here,Vernice there.

"San ka? " I asked him. "Bahay. " simple niyang sagot. Trip ko mag arcade para magpalipas ng oras at umiwas sa lungkot. Hindi ako umiyak kase may tiwala ako kay Blaze. I even messaged Vernice, 'Bakit lagi kayong nagkikita ni Blaze? ' I asked. 'Don't misunderstood Reese, he's just helping me for my thesis. ' that was my assurance.

I am walking near the arcade when I saw a couple. Nakaakbay ang lalaki sa babae at ang babae ay nakahawak sa bewang ng lalaki.

My tears dropped when they both faced each other. Smiling from each other. And I looked at my phone , there was a message from Blaze 'Ayoko na Reese.' .Hindi ko nabasa agad.

I was smiling when tears escaped from my eyes. 'Masakit pala kapag niloko ka ng malalapit sayo.'

Our graduation ended. No tears yet no smile. Even my sweetest brother comforted me. 'Basta ako ikaw muna bago siya.' yan ang lagi niyang sinasabi. Ako muna bago ang girlfriend niya.

But that words from him was also broke by him.

I'm crossing the road when suddenly Vernice appears in my sight. 'How are you? ' she sarcastically asked. I slapped her. I was startled when she pushed me. I grabbed her left hand but another hand grab her right hand.

And that hand was owned by my brother. Yes, Vernice is the new girlfriend of my brother. And before I speak, a hard thing hit me. Blood flows from my head.

'Don't close your eyes! " a big voice from my brother.

'Akala ko ako muna bago siya?'

Again and again, siya pa rin. Lahat sila pinili siya.

And the girl that they chose is my bestfriend.

I smiled, 'Finally, I will be with Him, who trully loves me and always choose me. ' and then I closed my eyes.
