I SAVED HIM BUT HE SAVE HER

It was twelve midnight when I suddenly I crave for an ice cream, so I change clothes and get my wallet. The store is near so I didn't take a bus. And pangarap ko din naman na maglakad ng hating gabi kasama ang boyfriend kong si Alli. We're now five years in a relationship. I'm a medtech student while he is a nursing student. I tried to text him even if I know that he's already asleep. Kanina pa kase siya nagpaalam na matutulog dahil pagod daw siya, so I let him rest.

I was about to cross the road when a familiar person appeared in my sight. Because of my curiosity, tinitigan ko siya ng maayos. Nasa madilim akong parte ng kalsada but I know it's him. Why he's here? I thought he's tired.

When I was about to take my first step, a familiar girl crossed the road. I saw how she smiled while walking towards my man and my man held her hand as the walked together. It was my dream. To hold his hand while walking in midnight but it wasn't me who's holding his hand now. It was her, my childhood bestfriend.

Namuo ang luha saaking mga mata habang nakikita silang masaya. Madaming tanong pero alam kong siya lang ang makakasagot nun, so I immediately walk towards them.

"A-alli. " I called him.

He faced me and I saw the shock in his face.

"W.. why? " I'm trembling pero pinilit kong tumayo.

"I'm sorry. " yumuko siya at sinubukan akong hawakan pero umatras ako.

The moment those two words came out from his mouth made my whole world spun. Nasagot ng dalawang salitang yon ang napakarami kong tanong.

"Anong kulang? " I asked him and then face the girl beside him. "Bakit, Meg?"

Yumuko si Megan saka umiling habang umiiyak. "Mahal ko siya, Lea. "

Pinikit ko ang aking mga mata. I can't believe her.

"Mahal mo siya? " I asked Alli.

But before he answer my question, a loud sound filled my ears. Nakita ko ang sasakyan na tatapos sa aming tatlo.

I immediately pushed Alli para hindi siya mabangga. Nakita ko kung paano siya nagulat sa ginawa ko. I smiled when he offer his hand.....

But not for me.
