Chapter 25

Nathan's POV

Laying on my bed I was thinking about how to have a conversation with James and Cara so that they reveal themselves , but I knew both of them were hard to crack and the most difficult person was James as he was lawyer he knew how to avoid questions and if answered how to confuse others . That's when I heard my cell phone ringing and I checked the caller id to see was none other than Cara . I picked up the call  .

" Nathan baby , what happened in the hospital ? why did you behaved in that way ? I mean if it's one of your plans then you should have let me know " she said . 

" I just wanted to do it  according to law " I said . Yeah Nathan great saying do it according to law stupid I yelled at myself in my mind . 

" Well whatever baby I just wanted to ask that can we go out for a dinner tonight I want to tell you something?" she asked . 

Maybe this my chance . 

" Sure , I will pick you up at 8 " I said . 

" Yes bye baby love you " she said which I knew was lie by now . 

" You too " I said as I knew whatever she had planned my love for her was never fake . 

I ended the call and headed downstairs to check up on Nina . Walking downstairs I decided to tell Julian about it . I saw him sitting on the couch watching some netflix series . 

" Hey " I said sitting next to him . 

" Hey , what's up ?" He asked without looking at me and continued watching the series . 

" Well Cara  called and asked me to meet , she said she wanted to tell me something " I said hoping for him to reply I knew from past few months my and Julian had hampered a bit because of how I treated Nina . 

" Oh , so like a date what does she wants to tell you ? is she ?" He asked pausing the series and looked at me . 

" Yup it's a date  " I said . 

" Wait you are going on a date !" I heard a familiar voice exclaimed and I turned to see Dad along with Nina . I saw Dad looking at me with disappointment , I assumed that he only heard the date thing and not the converstaion before that as  per his reaction . I turned my gaze towards Nina and saw her shaking her head a bit . 

" Dad , it's not date date right ?" asked Julian looking at me . 

" Ofcourse , it's not date date . I guess she just wanted to take one step further in their plan " I said not taking my eyes off Nina . That's when she asked 

" Do you have to go ?" in her soft voice and contined .

" I mean why do you have to meet her when you know what she wants to say ?"

I knew her mind was not accepting the fact about me going and meeting Cara rather than exposing them . 

" Nina , I want to hear them reveal their own plan and for that I have to wait and let them make some progress in their plan . I mean if all of sudden after the stunt I pulled at hospital I think it's better if I confuse them both first and then makes them reveal their intention " I said . 

" Brother , that's going to hurt you and seeing that you don't have any experience with such plan making thing . I guess you just follow their plan I will deal with other part of finding holes in their plan " said Julian .

" Thanks but how ?" I asked . 

" Well bro , I have contact and also how do you think Stephen got that voice recording " He said and smirked . 

" You did it ?" asked Nina . 

" Yes , I did and only for you sil because you are the sister I never had " said Julian . 

"Thanks " I said . 

" Now, I am on the season final now so go away " said Julian playing.

" Julian , isn't the same series which you watched some days before ?" asked Nina . 

" Yes " said Julian smiling . 

" Wait , you watched this series and again you and watching it why ?" I asked .

" Yes this is his third time I guess " said Nina and started laughing . Seeing her laugh I felt my heart skip a beat she was really beautiful . 

" Nina , let's head back to your room " said Dad taking her away from living room . 

" Well , I will just go do some work " I said going upstairs . 

Few Hours later 

It was 7 pm and I had just finished an online meeting with Mr . Park who was head of my South Korean Company branch in Seoul . I was really tired as the meeting took two hours but it was important for administrative purpose . 

I decided to get ready earlier I used to be excited to meet Cara but now the excitement had reduced , I mean the love factor was still there but excitement had reduced. I changed into black jeans and white shirt and headed downstairs . I started walking towards the door and took my keys and opened my garage door and got inside my car . Driving towards Cara's home was different as I was really scared about how I should react . I was driving when I heard my cell phone beep and the notification came on my car screen . I clicked to see it was text from Julian saying 

"I have sent one of the men behind you don't ger scared if you see a car following you "

 Damn , I seriously have no idea how Julian have so many contact now I started to think what exactly is Julian's job as he hardly was interested in my company . I adjusted my rear view mirror of the car and saw a car following me as I knew who it was I kept driving and in few minutes I reached near our apartment or my apartment as I bought it . I saw her standing near the main gate wearing a strapless dress as usual . I stopped the car and before I could go out to open the door , she opened it and got in . 

" Missed you babe " she said sitting on passenger seat and kissed me to which I kissed her back but the spark was no more . I started doubting that how can in one day my feeling for her could detoriorate so much . 

" Shall we go ?" she asked pulling away . 

" Sure " I said starting the car .
