Chapter 37

Nina's POV

Everything changed this past three months, I decided to stay with the Macintosh and decided to have time for myself to think about my and Nathan's relation and also to recover from my retinal operation. Lucky me, everything went well, both my eyes are good and have recovered past these months. World seemed so different after 15 years of being blind. According to the doctors, I didn't had to wait for so long for the operation, but I don't blame anyone for the delay everything happens on the given time. Today I have decided to visit Dad, it will be first time of me going there with my sight being back, I am excited and curious to know how Nathan will react, past this months I realised that my love for Nathan never went down and kept on increasing, I hope now he will be happy seeing me. Julian and Dad did visited me and told me about how Cara was behaving and troubling them and Nathan, we all were waiting for James for the truth to be revealed but for past three months he was busy with his work and didn't return back.

I got ready and went downstairs to see Stephen preparing breakfast along with Haley.

" Good Morning guys" I said, making my way to the kitchen.

" Good Morning Nia, breakfast is ready can you help with the plates?" asked Haley.

" Of course" I said, removing plates from the drawer. I went and arranged the plates on the table.

Once they brought other things on the table we started talking about our plans for the day that's when I decided to say that I wished to go Nathan's place.

" So, I was thinking about going to the Hastings" I said, looking at their expression as Haley had a smile on her face while Stephen looked somewhat nervous.

" Are you sure?" He asked.

" Yes, I guess it's time to visit them" I said.

" Them or him Nia?" He asked, and smirked.

" Ok, I want to see him and Dad and Julian and Mrs. Grey" I said.

" But what about Cara, she will also be there" said Haley.

"I can handle her I guess now that I can see, I am sure I can make her feel a less important and I will try to ignore her" I said.

" Ok, you can go and you are not staying there right?" He asked.

" No, I will comeback around 7pm" I said.

" Make it 9pm, I am also coming there so we will leave together" said Haley, finishing her breakfast.

" Ok then" said Stephen and continued eating his breakfast.

Once, I was done I washed my plate and went to change my clothes. Seeing myself in front of the mirror was a different experience, recently I had a hair cut done by Haley which my hair which had length till my waist were now just around my shoulder. Stephen and Haley said I looked pretty.

I went downstairs once I was done.

" Stephen I am leaving" I said.

" Are you sure Nia? Do you want me to drop you there?" asked Stephen.

" I can find my own way there now Steph doesn't worry" I said hugging him.

" Ok, make sure to call me once you reach and call me if you don't find the way" said Stephen.

" Steph, for past one month I am walking the same street to their house so I know it, " I said, remembering how I always walked till the gate of Nathan's house and returned back as I was not confident to meet him.

" Yes, well Amelia and I are going out for lunch" He said.

" Finally, wear something good Steph and be good to her," I said, patting his shoulder.

Amelia Davis was my caretaker after my operation, she helped me in recovering from the operation and getting me adjusted to my surroundings. During that time I got to know about her, she was working in the hospital as she wanted to help others, but she belonged to a very well known family and that we came to know when Stephen invited one of his business client for dinner and that client was Amelia's father. Amelia started liking Stephen when she started working for me, but never showed but last month she confessed and it took a week for Stephen to realise that he also started to like her and finally today they are going out. I am happy for Stephen as he also deserves happiness and someone.

"Yes Ma'am, " said Stephen in a stern voice and then started laughing.

" Bye Steph" I said and walked towards the door.

"I can do this" I said, to myself.

Walking down the familiar street, I saw neighbors giving me a smile. I was about to open the main gate of Nathan's house when I saw a girl walking out with her hand on her stomach and realised it was Cara. I went and hide behind a tree to not let her see me. Cara was leaving does that mean Nathan was also leaving with her. I saw her walking out of the gate and hailing for a taxi. She was alone that means Nathan will be still there. I saw getting inside the taxi and taxi driving away.

" Ok, Nina you can do this, " I said and turned to be only come into contact with someone's chest.

"Shit, " I cursed.

" You cursed" I heard, a very familiar voice and I knew who it was, I looked up to see him.
