Chapter 35

Nathan's POV

" Then, tell your part of the story" I heard a familiar and turned to see that Nina was awake and was trying to sit. I went and help her,I kept my hand on her hand.

" I swear Nina, what James told is nothing but a lie, I may be a bad guy, but I wasn't that bad." I said, trying to convince her.

"Then tell me Nathan, why should I trust you  or anyone of trust you after knowing that how bad you were with Nina" said Stephen.

"What I did to Nina was because of my anger towards her because she came in between me and Cara , the girl I loved. She was the first girl whom I have ever loved even though I dated few girls. I hated being away from her anyone in my situation would have done it that way. What about you Stephen if you were in my situation, what would have you done when some girl comes between you and the girl you love" I said, explaining my point. I felt Nina trying to remove my hand from hers, but I was not going to let her do that.  

" But you knew that I was one at loss Nathan, at least once you would have told me about you and Cara, I would have stayed away but your way of telling me was also not normal. You made me feel like more vulnerable than ever. How many times I have cried to sleep knowing that the person I like hates me to a limit to even make my existence, There was a time when I always thought that there was no difference between my parents and you as you both blamed me for something that never was in my hand. But, I always forgave you always but not now Nathan, if what James said is true, then I am sorry Nathan I can't live with someone who has cost a life of two individuals. I will listen to you and I will decide to stay or" She said, with tears running down her eyes. That's when I realised how bad I was with her, but I can't lose her, I need her in my life, even if it meant proving my innocence I will do it.

" Nina, please listen to me, I am telling you the truth and I will prove my innocence to you. I think you all should take a seat as it will take time," I said, looking at others.

" My friendship with James was always special to me, I remember when we small kids and mom just had Julian. I and James would always play with Julian and we shared everything with each other, I thought that was how friendship is by keep  transparency between us. I remember, I always told him about my flings. But, my dad started having loss in the business which made me stress, but I didn't wanted to trouble James with it as he had his  own problems. And that's the time Georgia came  in picture, I had met her earlier at a company dinner and I came to know that it was her father's company that was causing loss to my father, but I didn't reacted in any way as Dad had always taught me how business always come with loss. Later, I came to know that she was the new girl who joined our highschool" I said, looking at Nina.

" How I don't know about this brother?" asked Julian.

"Because dad didn't wanted to worry you and mom" I said.

" What happened after that?" asked Stephen, looking at me.

" I tried to stay away from her as I didn't wanted to cause any more issue, but James was very close to her which resulted her to always be with us. One day when I was leaving for home she stopped me" I said, remembering.

Flashback

" Nathaniel, can I talk to you?" She asked.

"Yes, is there any thing you wanted to talk, well James left early if you wanted to know about  James" I said.

" No, I know that James went home early. I wanted to talk to you regarding our parent's company" she said.

" I don't want to talk anything related to that," I said, and started walking away , when I felt a hand on my hand pulling me back.

" Listen Nathaniel, I can help you with this, I mean with all what is happening, I will talk with my father related to this he will listen and give your dad the contracts he took away" she said.

" Sure, you think I am fool. I know how business works you are ready letting your father's company at loss because what I? " I asked with less interest.

"Yes, I will , I mean I saw few more contracts coming in my dad companies and if all that contracts happens, you will  be left with nothing and I can't let that happen" she said.

" Why do you love me?" I asked.

" Nope, I want to be famous and if you date me I will be more popular" she said. I was astonished to even hear that.

" You can have anyone why me?" I asked.

" Simple answer you are my rival and it is always interesting to date your enemy. So, it is small thing you and me date and you dad will get the contracts. What do you say?" She asked, with a pout which made me more disgusted. But, I thought about dad , mom and Julian and decided.

" Ok, meet you tomorrow Nathaniel or wait Nathan right" she said and went near her car.

Flashback ends

"What the fuck brother, she asked and you said yes" said Julian looking at me.

" I did that and dad got back all the contracts dad was so happy Julian and I was happy for him. We continued to date in high school and everything was going good. I hated her, but I tried liking her and I wanted to tell to end this. That day I went to her house, she was always alone as her parents worked and she claimed she was only child. I went to her house to only see her and James having sex. I was angry on James as he lied to me ,but I was more angry on Georgia. The next day I went and confronted Georgia and broke up with her and I went to James to clear all the happening. I came to know he loved Georgia and I explained him about  the situation and told that Georgia was his as she and me never went beyond then kissing. He was happy hearing this. Then mom and dad took me and Julian to vacations and when I came back Georgia was gone, I asked James and he said that she left and my father confirmed same that their family shifted but why I didn't knew and James never said anything about Georgia after that. And after few years Cara came in my life and you know what happened" I said, looking at their reaction.

" You know right Cara and Georgia are real sister?" asked Nina.

" I didn't knew about it till now and also about suicide and her pregnancy. But the child could have been of James that means James is lying Nina trust me" I said, taking her hand and squeeze it lightly.

" I need you to trust me Nina, I am not lying "I said.

" I need to think about it, can you all leave it was a lot for me" said Nina, taking away her hand from grasp.

" Ok" I said, and went outside as I knew she needed time, but I know she will trust me right?
