The Blind Wife ( Rewriting)

Chapter 9

Nathan's POV

" Nina " I screamed when I saw her tumbling  downstairs with blood running through her head .

I ran towards the end of staircase and took her in my arms and rushed towards my car .

" Julian drive " I ordered placing her on the backseat . I got in back seat and laid her head on my lap .

Julian started driving  with speed . I looked down at Nina she looked lot in pain . I am confused right now about the situation  . I heard Julian calling  someone  and informing him about the situation .
In few minutes we reached the hospital  . I opened the back seat door and took her in my arms and rushed inside . The nurse led me towards the emergency room . They told me to wait outside    I went outside to see Julian , Dad , Stephan and Haley waiting with worry on their face . As soon as Stephan saw me he launched  a punch on my face .

" If anything happens to her I swear to god I will kill you " said Stephan and pushed me with force .
I felt guilty as I knew that I hated her but I never wanted her to be injured or even die .

We waited for half an hour and saw Doctor coming out .I reached towards him to ask him about the condition .

" Well you are lucky that you brought her quickly , because the  fall which nurse informed me about the patient has fracture on her hip bone and right leg and hand .But it is minor fracture which  will be recovered in couple of months but the bad news is that as her head had injured the nerves connecting to her eyes are damaged.  Was the patient blind from birth ?" asked the Doctor .

Was she ? I don't know that maybe she was blind from birth I never asked her .

" No , she had an accident couple years back which resulted her to lose her sight but according to an eye specialist  he said that her nerves were not that damaged and with couple of surgeries it would be fine " said Haley .

I was shocked as I didn't knew anything about my wife's life . I didn't knew that she even had any chances to see .

" Well then I will call an eye specialist working here and let's see how much the nerves are damaged let's hope that nerves are not that damaged but don't keep any hope as I said the nerves are damaged and if she has suffered an accident then it is very risky " said the doctor and informed the intern to call the eye specialist  .

" Julian , what has happened  yesterday she was so happy when I told her about her getting  her sight back and now this happened , You know Nathan  she was happy not only for that but she thought that when she will get sight back maybe you will start liking her all along she thought about you liking her but Nina didn't knew that her husband doesn't even care for her " said Haley looking at me with tears running down her eyes .

" Nothing will happen she will be fine " said Dad .

I decided to go out to clear my mind when I saw Cara walking towards me .

" Baby  I heard what happened  " said Cara and hugged me .

I felt good as she was hugging me but the guilt in about Nina was eating my mind out .......
