"Goodmorning, Chase."
His brown curls, brown eyes and chiseled face made for a handsome young man. Not as handsome as Kye, though.
"Goodmorning," he greeted. "You know, you smell amazing today. Oh, it's a supermoon, isn't it? Got into your-"
He was cut off by his friend giving him a painful slap against the back of his head. I say painful, because if he gave such a slap to my head, it would definitely have left my spine and rolled off. It was painful to even imagine.
But Chase simply grimaced and rubbed over the sore spot. "Okay, not my business, I understand. I'm still waiting for my sweet Jessica; it's driving me crazy. But she's so pure..."
"And you're no match for her," I stated. "You'd just infect her with your stupidity and impurity. Get it through your head- she doesn't want you."
Now Kye hit me as well, but with hardly five percent of his previous blow. He patted me gently against the back of my head, like a correcting fatherly move. I hated it immediately, but shut my mouth.
What was this conversation about, even? Did Chase want to ask if I got into a heat? That meant he was into Kye's strange fantasy as well. That'd explain why he always trails after him like a dog its owner.
"You're hurting my feelings in way you could never understand, Ashley." Chase pouted. "She is for me. And she'll realize that."
Annoyance sparked inside of me and I was holding back the urge to kick him in the balls he loved so much. Jesse wasn't for him. He was talking like she was his property, that she belonged to him. Since when was consent not important anymore?
I scoffed. "Do you have any idea how you sound like? Incredibly arrogant-"
"Ashley," Kye interrupted me with a warning tone, and for some reason, my mouth shut closed and wouldn't open again. I almost shivered. He never used my full first name. All my anger subsided like snow for the sun.
"This is not your business," the young man told me.
"It is!" My voice sounded like a whining toddler's pleading for her dad's favor. "She's my friend! She doesn't want him, and he has to respect that!"
I didn't know why I was trying to get him on board with me. It was a futile attempt, anyway. This guy didn't know of common sense.
Kye loomed closer to me and took my chin with his fingers, as I stared up at him, wide eyed, frozen in place again.
"Some females, Ash, say no when they mean yes. Before you get all mad with me, observe her actions instead of her words. After that, if you're still so sure that Chase is forcing himself onto a woman who gets disgusted with his company, I promise I'll look into it. But be open minded."
I blinked up at him. Huh? Did he really just refer to a human female as a 'woman'? Incredible. That I lived to see this day.
Alright, there were a few things wrong with his lecture. First of all-

Werewolf"Ash," he breathed, "We're getting dangerous here." "No head?" Something red flashed through his eyes, as the corners of his mouth tugged into a smile. "You're going to give me head, whether you like it or not. I meant that we can't turn back after...
