"Ugh, I absolutely hate you," I grumbled in Kye's neck, as he grinned.

"Honestly, you could've expected this."

"That you'd have the stamina of an animal on drugs? Hell no." I tried to get myself up, failing miserably, while his fingers brushed over my forehead to relieve me of some of the feverish morning-after-pains I was going through.

It was official; this man was crazy. His body was crazy. He'd kept on going, even after the so-maniest orgasm had erupted from my exhausted self, giving me no mercy whatsoever. And now my body felt like it had been chewed up and spit out again. Like crap.

But also, strangely happy and satisfied.

"But I am."

"Whatever." I quickly pressed my lips against his, to show him that I was not really as mad as I was letting on. He didn't respond to that, so I dared to look up, meet his dark gaze, and felt shy all over again.

We were still laying in his bed, but he'd already jogged this morning, fed Hades, and done some work before coming back to me, who was still sleeping like a normal human would at eight in the morning. Especially one who'd been mounted senseless just a few hours back.

"I've decided to keep Elijah in the pack," Kye told me, as I buried my face in his shirt again.

"That's good."

"And you, too. Wow, you're practically my wife now."

I giggled before I could stop myself. "Hold your horses, Kye, now we're really moving too fast. How many days ago were you practically at my throat every day?"

He was silent for a while. Only his steady breathing and fingers that played with my curls betrayed he was still present- but his mind was full of him getting frustrated with himself. I decided to give him some privacy and distanced myself from his thoughts.

"I'm sorry," he finally said, softly.

"Well now, it's fine. I understand."

"Nah, it was unjustified."

"Listen." I grabbed his strong jaw between my hands, staring him sternly in the eyes before he could glance away. "I was angry too, at anything that has anything to do with my father's death. For a few years, I considered becoming a hunter so I could kill every last wolf on earth."

He blinked. "For real?"

"For real. But you-" I poked him in the chest with my finger- "changed that."

I felt him wanting to scoff, 'cheesy', and quickly get up and escape me, but instead, he kept silent and softened his gaze. I send him a shy but affectionate smile. Before I knew it, he pressed his lips against mine and held me in the tightest embrace I'd ever gotten.

"Not to be weird or anything," he mumbled in my ear, "but damn, you remind me of my brother."

With the smile still lingering on my lips, I hugged him back. "Don't worry. I won't tell anybody that you're crying."
