"Ash," he breathed, "We're getting dangerous here."
"No head?"
Something red flashed through his eyes, as the corners of his mouth tugged into a smile. "You're going to give me head, whether you like it or not. I meant that we can't turn back after...

"Okay. So remember; he absolutely hates watching. He can't stand being unable to touch you. Took note?"
I simply nodded, as we stepped into the pack house. It wasn't half as busy as it was last time I visited this place, and instead of looking like a hippie-reunion, the hall was now pretty decent.
Groups of teenagers simply played cards or talked over a drink, many of them from my school. My gaze traveled from them to a group of older men, where Kye was seated among them on the pillows.
"Business meeting," Elle whispered, bumping into me. "Those are gammas from other packs. They're here to, kind of, negotiate about the rogue-problem."
I mentally wrote another question on the pack-list for Kye to answer later on.
"But he's only twenty," I remarked, as Elle shrugged.
"New alphas are always young. He's been at it since he's eighteen. So far, he's doing pretty good. Contrary to what he might act like with us, he's a responsible guy. Well, he should be- he didn't get chosen for nothing."
"Ah," I voiced, desperate to ask more questions but unable to.
"You should've seen him and his brother together;" Elle continued, "the cutest thing. His brother was disabled, you know, and could only sit at home. But Kye was always carrying him around and about. Very carefully, though, because you know how he is."
I pursed my lips, overcome by a weird feeling.
I didn't. I didn't know how he was. This sounded like an entirely different person from the man who tried to poison me with soap just because he felt like it.
Gazing over Kye's back as he took a sip of what seemed to be liquor, listening to one of the older men, I felt my eyes burning. I know I was experiencing grief like a normal person does, not the emotion I felt coping with my father's death.
I was sad for him. And I couldn't deny it. I couldn't deny that I was so superficial as to look at him with softer eyes, now that I knew about this other part of him.
Stupid, stupid Ashley.
He was still the Kye I knew. This new piece of information didn't make him any different. There were just more dimensions to him than I originally thought- but I knew that already.
"He told me about him, yeah," I said, as we sat down on the pillows to wait for the business meeting to be over.
"That's sweet. He likes you a lot, though he has weird ways of expressing it. And Jesus, his pride. No way getting around that."
"Were you guys in a relationship?" I took the can of soda from her that we bought earlier, as Elle released her afro from an elastic.
"Nah, not really. He just likes to fuck. You should try sometime, as well. You won't regret it. Though he will probably be a little too much for a human like yourselves. I suggest you loosen yourself up a bit before going there with him," she giggled, bumping against my shoulder.
