"Wait, how does it not hurt?"

"It gets cancelled out," he explained patiently, his fingers moving up and down both my sides to comfort me. "Don't worry."

"So, you want this?"

"Two hundred percent."

A smile slipped over my lips as warmth seeped into my body, taking away the fears. "Ah, that's right, baby boy."

He jerked his head back, staring me in the eyes deadpan. "Oh no, you didn't just say-"

"Baby boy." I kissed him on the lips, as all his muscles tensed against me.

"You're so dead." He folded his arms around me, dragged me deep into an embrace, and placed his teeth against my neck. I shivered, but didn't stop him, a smile on my lips.

Everything felt right. Even when his canines pricked through my skin and started to sink into my neck. Nothing ever felt more right. It felt like I was fully completed.

My wolf, Leah- as I called her to my mom's first name-, howled in happiness, finally making her presence known again.

It was then that I started to hear Kye's thoughts. They came rushing into my own head, and it instantly felt like they had been in there like forever. They didn't surprise me at all.

His teeth in my neck filled me up with a warm golden liquid, melting all fear and doubt away.

Honestly, I didn't think this would have such a big impact on me. I thought it was something he felt the need to do, like wearing matching shirts to make known we were dating now.

But this meant so much more than dating, didn't it?

I had no idea. Not that it mattered. Nothing mattered in that moment. Everything was fine and my whole body felt completely bright. All that I could think was 'oh man, I sure am happy with this guy'. And he responded my thoughts with 'you'd better be'.

Though I knew he felt the same about me.

I sighed in satisfaction, sinking deeply into his warm embrace, as I felt warm blood seep over my neck. But it was fine. Though it started to sting a little.

My fingers buried in his shirt, as I tried to lean up to his ear, but my body didn't respond. It was completely powerless, the only thing I felt was pure, fuzzy warmth and happiness.

Words didn't form on my tongue, so I couldn't tell him to stop. That started to make me nervous. Not that I felt uneasy in this position, but the fear of what my mind might do if it continued for too long did- think about dad's death.

He sensed it, and finally pulled back, retreating his mesmerizing sharp teeth from my sensitive neck. Letting out a shaky breath, he held me close.

Hello there, little lady.
