"That doesn't seem like a good idea, alpha," Elle voiced respectfully, "Look at the girl. She's shaking."

"I'm fine," I breathed, squeezing in the large arms that held me.

"She's fine." Kye lifted his finger to softly brush my head, leaving little sparks that melted my anxiety a little. I relaxed in his firm hold.

"You sure?"

I simply nodded, my whole mind screaming no, while it knew that I had to do this. Cold feet were normal. But it was going to be fine, as long as Kye was here.

My back was pressed against his chest, that softly thrusted against me every time he breathed in, as I was yet again reminded of his enormous body. This guy was scary, but I wasn't scared of him now. I could handle big wolves.

I hoped.

"Alright then." Elle threw another worried glance in my direction, before kicking off her sneakers and dragging her shirt up. Immediately, I whirled around and took Kye with me, shaking him off.

"Why Elle?" I asked him, as he grinned.

"Her wolf is the cutest thing in the world."

I felt a sting at that sentence, as I heard Elle's clothes rustle. Alright. It was really happening. Agitation was flowing back into me, making Kye ease it again. He knew exactly what I was feeling now, but that I didn't mind.

"Cute?" I echoed.

"She trains with the little pups who are afraid of me. Let's just say she isn't intimidating whatsoever."

"Huh," Elle scoffed, "You say it like it's a bad thing. At least no one starts running and screaming at my wolf."

"No one runs from me." Kye pouted, as I jumped from one foot to another to relieve some tension.

"No, they freeze in reflex. That's worse, alpha."

"Just shut your mouth and shift," he ordered, as I couldn't help but picturing them having sex together. They must match perfectly. It wouldn't surprise me if they'd destroyed some beds together.

I drew in a shaky breath, trying to hold my attention on those vexing visions, instead of going back to the matter at hand. The sound of breathing was getting heavier behind me, until it slowly turned into a very, awfully low exhaling.

"She's done," Kye simply said, doing nothing but study me, his hands jammed into his pockets.

I knew I was to turn around now, face my fears, face a big shifter-wolf. I knew I should do all but remember that night. Remember those large canines and claws, rippling muscles and yellow eyes.

Nausea arose in my gut. Just her demeanor made me weak in the knees, as my body fought itself to start bolting off.

"She looks like Elijah's wolf, much," Kye suddenly announced, "Just a tad bit bigger. Persephone, down."
