"Does everybody understand the plan?" I ask my guards, who are dressed in civilian form, all ready for tonight.
"Yes, Sir." Came the simultaneous replies.
I nod in response, my expression stoic and stern.
"Good. I expect no mistakes in this mission. There are to be absolutely no deaths whatsoever," I warn, "I don't give a shit whether there's a dangerous person in the club or not. You will stay in your positions until I give the order."
I catch Riley's look from the corner of my eye, and from the expression of boredom he's portraying, I refrain from wanting to roll my eyes at him.
"If there are any deaths - even if it was an accidental slip of the finger- I will simply chop your fucking fingers off and cook them for you for breakfast. " I say casually, making sure that it scared them shitless.
"Am I understood?"
I look at my soldiers, expecting an affirmative response from them.
"Yes, Sir!"
I smile in satisfaction.
"Good, now let's move out." I say, and everybody went out and stepped into their respective cars, while I, as to not raise too much suspicion, got in a sleek, black Mercedes AMG and drove to Club Dracula.
Tonight's the night.
I spent the better part of last night and today thinking about what's about to go down tonight. After close to two, torturous years, I'm going to finally see my Mate again.
I'm going to meet her officially - with her and I facing each other, green eyes looking into blue eyes.
She's going to try to kill me - that's for sure - but if I know her the way I'm thinking, then she isn't able to succeed. She doesn't know that she and I are Mates, so it'll come as a huge surprise to her when she finds out herself.
By then I'll be gazing into her eyes, and she'll probably doing the same. Perhaps only then, will she reconsider whatever sinister plan that she has in store for me.
Sometimes I worry for the monster I had a hand in creating will turn against me the moment we encounter each other.
"Stop worrying about the casualties. You'll be fine." Destiny's voice rings in my head, and I roll my eyes at her.
I choose to ignore it as I pull up at my club. I stop by the valet parking and step outside. A lanky bellboy rushes over to take my keys, and I give them to him without another thought. Then, I head over to my small group of soldiers who I deployed to be on standby in case the plan fucks up somehow.
"Welcome to Club Dracula, gentlemen. Please don't draw attention to us." I tell them, and they nod in understanding.
"I'll stay outside," Riley says, and I give him a bored look, "you go deal con tu loquita, y estaré bien por mi coche."
I sigh, but nod anyway.
"You're fucking insufferable, espero que sepas eso." I grumble, and he throws up a peace sign as his response before looking at his phone.
I scoff before heading inside with the guards in tow. I receive a major amount of looks as soon as I get inside, along with a few nods from people I know. However, I couldn't nod back for one reason only. For the plan to work, I need to remain inconspicuous until the time was right.
So I had to sit in my usual booth and wait for approximately two hours until I saw her again.
It's like deja vu, the way she glides on the dance floor like it's just second nature to her. I'm suddenly reminded of the first time I saw her - two years ago, when she was with her two friends and dancing without a care in the world.
