Juliette's POV:
Today's the day.
I get to go and meet one of the most important people from my past life. After more than three years of separation from him, we just had to meet under these circumstances. By the time we both see each other again, the both of us will have changed drastically, but I doubt it would stop the many good memories we've had together.
Life and its messed up game.
I stare at the pile of clothes that are on the bed. I vaguely remember me taking an interest in sweatpants, and it just makes me realize how much I've changed these past couple of years.
Juliette Wilson, a twenty-year-old who was supposed to be a lawyer right now, is actually a Vampire King's Mate, someone who had killed her father two years ago. She was supposed to live a peaceful life with her family, meet some snobby lawyer guy that my parents would've forced me to spend my life with, and be the best criminal lawyer that she wanted to be in her life.
Oh, how things have changed.
Now I, Juliette Wilson Grey, am a vampire, who, next to my Mate and family, rules over millions of vampires on the planet. I'm an assassin, for crying out loud. I know how to kill someone within the end of a second with my bare hand. I've killed and tortured so many people these past two years that it had almost become second nature to me.
If I could choose between the life that I'm living now, and the life that would've never been mine, I'd definitely choose this one. After all, it has lead me to finding Seb, who has been so good to me that it hurts sometimes.
I wonder how Amado has been all these years. I mean, they may have imprisoned him for two years, but if that amount of time was enough to change me, then what has it done to him? If it weren't for Sebastian, then I probably wouldn't have known that he's still alive, let alone a fugitive of the law!
"Penny for your thoughts?" A dreamy voice asks from behind me, and I smile before turning to its source.
"My thoughts cost way more than that." I say, he rolls his eyes.
"Then how much will it take to wipe that frown off your beautiful face?"
"I have no idea."
"Well then, you better think about it as I'm taking a shower." He says before walking to the bathroom, but I stop him.
"Wait." I say, and he turns around to look at me.
"Sup, Señora?" He asks, and I blush a little.
"I'm a Señorita, Sebastian." I deadpan with a smile, and he chuckles at me.
"Not when you're married to me. So, what did you wanna say?" He asks me, and I sigh before looking at him.
"Will you come with me?" I ask timidly, which is something I never am.
"You do realize that I was coming, whether you'd asked me or not, right?" He asks with a smirk on his lips, and I roll my eyes.
"I know. I just wanted to make it official, instead of attempting to chop your head off about it." I say as I walk towards him, and he scans me over before smiling at me.
"Who are you and what did you do with the dumb idiot that is my cute Mate?" He asks, and I take this opportunity to flick him really hard.
"Shit!! I really have to teach you to stop doing that." He mutters as he rubs his forehead, with me laughing at him.
"That's for calling me a dumb idiot." I say before flicking him again.
"And that's for calling me cute." I say triumphantly, before giving him a peck on the lips.
