Sebastian

I knew she'd escape.

I knew that after what I said - when I challenged her since arriving here - she'd definitely make a run for it.

I wait exactly fifteen minutes until I get up from my bed, putting my book down with a sigh.

"Mujeres." I mutter, before heading to the closet.

(Women.)

I find the escape door wide open, as if she wanted me to know she escaped. I take a walk through it and start humming.

"I know you can hear me, mujer." I say pleasantly, then chuckle.

(Woman.)

"Lo sé que estás perdido," I continue, then walk in the exact direction she went. "Estos bosques son muy desalentadores para una persona que no los conoce."

(I know you're lost. These woods can be very daunting for a person who doesn't know them.)

Silence is returned to me for my pleasantries, and I shake my head.

"I don't like this one-sided conversation, querida." I say, my tone edgy.

(Dearest.)

After a while of walking, I stop.

My instincts scream that I'm not alone - which I understand perfectly. My telepathic senses state that she's behind me, and if I focus hard enough, I could catch a glimpse of her thoughts to attack me from behind.

Interesting.

I count three seconds in my head before I hear movement behind me. I stay rigidly still until I feel her within arm's reach. I then grab her arm, flip her over using her own elevation, then plant her on the ground.

She grunts out, and I smirk before straddling her.

"This game of yours was quite entertaining," I say with a smile, "but it's almost eleven, and you haven't properly fed since yesterday."

She scoffs, then glares at me.

"Get the fuck off me." She growls, and I smiled before complying.

As I dust any dirt off myself, I catch her looking at me with an unreadable expression. I wasn't sure if I was expecting that.

"How the fuck are you even here right now?" She asks and I smirk.

"I hope you didn't think that escaping my house would be easy, right?" I retort with a raised eyebrow, and she rolls her eyes.

"Of course I didn't," she bites back, but softly adds, "I had to try it anyway."

"And it doesn't work, we've seen that," I say then give her an amused look, "it's time to rest up now."

She looks at me, her expression guarded.

"And you expect me to follow you willingly? Do I look submissive to you?" She challenges, a narrowed look in her blue eyes.

I shake my head, hiding a smile.

"I just want to take care of you, dearest," I state, "but you have to let me do it first."

She rolls her eyes before walking off without another word.

I shrug, then follow after her back to the house. Once I catch up to her, I smirk before whispering in her ear, "The next time you decide to play mouse, I'd be delighted to play the cat."
