34. A Heavy Aura

Salma Corina's POV:

It's been a whole of five hours since Sebastian and Juliette left, and it's been a little chaotic here.

Merlin had to go to his laboratory to closely examine that bitch Sabrina's blood to see what kind of being she really is.

As for Maria José, she's been arguing with Riley a whole lot since Seb and Juls left, which surprises me because she wanted nothing to do with him considering what she found out about him, whatever that is.

Those idiots we're supposed to acknowledge as the Royal Council have apparently called a meeting in Seb and Jul's absences.

Juliette and Sebastian leave, and all of a sudden the Royal Council wants a meeting. How ironic.

And all this shit happened all in the space of five hours.

I swear that running the Kingdom in the King and Queen's absences was weird before, but based on everything that is happening, things are pretty shitty right now.

I haven't heard from Caleb today, and I'm just starting to have negative thoughts even though Paris promised to talk to him. Sometimes I feel like I'm trying too hard, and it was my idea that him and I would be friends for the time being.

Fuck, I swear I hate feeling this way.

"Everything okay?" Caleb's wonderful voice enters my mind, and I sigh in relief.

"Yeah. All good. What about you?" I ask a little too eagerly for a female friend to ask her male friend.

"Everything's boring over here. I want to see you." He replied, and he almost sounded exasperated.

"Come over. I'm in my room watching Aladdin." I say, and before I knew it Caleb is sitting next to me with a bowl of popcorn on the bed.

"You seriously have to stop watching kids movies." He mumbles, and I roll my eyes.

"There's absolutely no fucking way I'd ever stop watching Disney movies. Especially Aladdin." I say before playfully glaring at him, but when he smirks, my tough exterior starts to fade.

"You know, I'd like to do a lot of things to you and with you right now, but you have to go to that meeting." He says, and I hear the seriousness in his voice, so I groan in annoyance.

"There is no way I'm going to those piece of shit motherfuckers that betrayed my brother after everything that he's done for them! Give me one good reason why I should go." I say through gritted teeth, and he takes my hands into his and I blush at this gesture.

We look into each others' eyes and I never wanna look away from him, but a knock on my door interrupts our heated stare down.

"Sally? We gotta go!" I hear Mario call me, and I groan in annoyance while Caleb only laughs.

"I thought we agreed for you not to call me that." I mumble, knowing that he could hear me.

"Come on!! I can basically hear Aladdin stealing Jasmine away on his carpet. Stop being lazy and get your ass up." I hear my twin brother say before he enters the room.

"Don't worry, she's going with you." Caleb says to Mario before looking at me pleadingly.

I swear that this dude couldn't get cuter right now.

"I swear I'm only doing this for you right now." I mutter before sighing, and Caleb grins at me.

"Then I'll see you in an hour?" He asks, and I peck his cheek.

"See you in an hour." I reply before taking my brother's hand and going to face those pieces of shit.

As soon as we - Majo, Riley, Stephen, Mario and I - arrive to the Council room I immediately notice a weird aura in the air, and it makes me uneasy. Mario notices this, and places a kiss on my forehead before leading us to where we usually sit.
