Poppy's POV

My mind was like a glitter bomb, one moment in the air, the next exploded into tiny pieces. A Moondrop? To think there's a Moondrop? Wow. I reached out to touch the rock, electricity surrounded it, so I jolted my hand back. Branch pulled it away.

"It might be dangerous to touch, because..." he hesitated. "I believe you're...the Sundrop."

"Really?" I asked shocked. It made a lot of sense, including the way it reacted to me. "Huh," I never knew I had the power of the sun!

Branch looked really fidgety, and he looked nervous.

"What?" I asked.

"Um, well, there's an incantation for this too," he revealed.

"Sing it," I instructed.

"Sorry, I don't sing," he said.

"Please?"

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"N. O."

"Fine," I sighed.

He handed me a folded paper, really old. I took it and opened it-

'Wither and Decay,

End this destiny,

Break these earthly chains,

And set the spirit free,

With each passing day,

Take sight so it cannot see,

Break these earthly chains,

And set the spirit free,

The spirit free'

"Huh, it' sounds a lot like the song I sing," I said.

"Yeah, it even fits the tune," Branch replied. I stuck the note in my hair, intending to look at it later. I shivered, and noticed the fire was dying down.

"Um, I'll get some more firewood," Branch said, getting up. He walked into the trees, disappearing.

"Looks like you've made a new friend," a voice came from behind me. I gasped and whirled around- to face Creek.

"Wha-how-"

"You've broken your word," he said, shaking his head. "And have followed a stranger?"

"But.... I think he likes me," I protested.

"Him? Liking you? Look at yourself, you think he's impressed?" Creek said, circling me.

"But first, how did you find-"

"It doesn't matter, I'm here now," he said, taking my arm. he began to gently pull me back. "Let's go back to our pod, our safe, safe-"

"No!" I said firmly, breaking away. His face looked shocked, but he covered it with a smirk.

"No?" he asked. "I see how it is. Poppy knows best now, is it?"

That song he had sung to me so many times was sung yet once again. But this time, I wasn't buying it. Instead, it made me mad.

"Poppy knows best,

Poppy's so mature now,

Such a clever grown up miss.

Poppy knows best,

Fine, if you're so sure now,

Go ahead, give him THIS!

Creek held out the tiara we had made a deal on and shoved it in my hands. "How did you-"

"THIS is why he's here!

Don't let him deceive you!

Give it him watch you'll see!"

Trust me my dear,

That's how fast he'll leave you!

I won't say I told you so!

Poppy knows best,

If he's so perfect,

Go and put him

To the test!

If he's lying, don't come crying!

CREEK ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!!"

He disappeared into the greenery behind him. I heard footsteps behind me, and quickly used my hair to hide the tiara behind some boulders.

"Got some fire...hey, you okay?" I heard Branch say behind me.

"Yeah, yeah," I lied. "Lost in thought I guess."

"...Okay," he said, putting the wood down. he pulled out a large leaf and laid it down. "I can get you one too," he said.

"It's all good, I can use my hair," I said.

A few minutes later...

We both laid down around the campfire, which was flickering away. I mouthed to myself the incantation Branch showed me. I felt something overtake me, and my hair began to darken. I stopped, and my energy left me, leaving me weak in my hair. I closed my eyes as drowsiness closed around me, the moonstone not leaving my thoughts.

A/N Yeah, There's gonna be one more part to the campfire scene, stay tuned! Again busy, so give me time:)
