Stepping into his home, Victor slips off his shoes and hangs up his jacket in a closet closeby. He walks further into the mansion to find most of the main rooms on the first floor were empty. The living room was brightly lit, but there were no signs of another person sitting there recently, so he takes out his phone as he moves further into the kitchen.

Past the kitchen, he could see the backdoor. Cold air coming from the soft rain outside hit his bare shoulders as he moved further. He finds her in the garden, standing in the dark of the night, an umbrella hanging over her head. In the light of one hanging above the backdoor, he could see her smiling face.

'Come inside.' he says, his voice as monotone as usual. 'I thought a dummy like you would at least know better than to stand in the freezing rain.'

Though his words sounded more like insults, he looked back at her with admiration. This woman, as childish, cute, charming as she may be, was the light of his life.

'An overstatement.' she rolls her eyes and spins in place. 'I quite like the rain. It reminds me of someone.'

'Oh?' he says, a smile growing on his face. 'Who does it remind you of?'

'Rain seems like a bad thing. It's gloomy and cold. But, looking closer, rain is quite soothing.'

She stops, now staring directly at him. 'Rain helps the plants grow and behind the clouds, there's always sun.'

'Childish.' he scoffs. 'Just come inside. You can watch the rain from the comfort of our home.'

'Our home.' she repeats, and finally she follows him inside.
