In which we danced in a dream (Victor)

what was a kinda joke idea, turned into research that lasted longer then expected, turned to this lol (pure indulgence I'd say) 

References to the [Dance date] and Victor's [Right beside you] which are both pretty fun

also, probably inaccurate to the actual job? I'm not an expert haha

'How did I get here?' MC sighs as she listens to the announcements overhead.

'The park will be opening in 5 minutes.'

MC makes her way through the courtyard. She passes other employees, greeting them with a kind, slightly nervous smile as she walks into a gazebo decorated with flowers; it was where she would be meeting guests for the rest of the day.

'You want me to...what?'

She pauses as Kiki continues to pack her things.

'Oh, it'll be easy!' Kiki smiles. 'Just do what you best. You're the most 'princess-like' out of all of us here.'

'That is...an overstatement.'

'Come on, MC.' Kiki sets her bag on the table. She takes MC's hands, spinning her around in a false waltz.

'Kiki!' MC laughs.

'You play the perfect princess! Right, Willow?' Letting go of her hands, Kiki passes her onto Willow, standing by the entrance. Willow takes MC's hands, following the same action.

'Right! Such grace, such beauty!'

Spinning her one last time, she lets go of her hands, and MC falls back into the doors of the elevator. But, instead of hitting the cold elevator door, she falls into the arms of someone else.

'Guys!'

'Are you alright?' she hears his voice, more confused than he is concerned, speak in her ear as he holds her shoulders, helping her to her feet.

'Victor!' she recognizes immediately. 'Um. Thank you for catching me.'

'Look, you even have a prince too!' Kiki laughs and her face blushes pink. 'Come on, MC. Do this for me, please!'

Which led her to this job. For a day, MC plays the part as Princess, meeting guests and children of Loveland's amusement park. It wasn't the worst job she could've gotten, Minor giving her far worse in the past, so she sighs and accepts it. Slowly running her fingers through her blonde wig, and smoothing out the light pink fabric of her dress, she gets into character as she sees the gate of the park open, and the crowd begin to rush in.

By noon, the crowd begins to die down. She meets so many people, and has signed so many books as her character, she hardly remembers how to act as herself when the time comes for her small break.

'It's alright. I can do this, it's almost the end of the day and-'

'Are you still here?' calls a voice at the entrance.

'Oh, just a second.' she calls back in a soft voice, right back into character. She turns, a hand holding the side of her dress in a polite curtsy.

'Good afternoon, dear. I-' she pauses, recognizing his suit, seemingly never going out without one. Meeting his eye, she watches as he hardly holds back his laughter.

'Victor! What-'

'It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess.' he says, offering her his hand.

'I...' oh, come on. She rolls her eyes as she starts to play along. 'The pleasure is all mine.'

Her hand takes his, and as he bows he softly kisses her hand.

'Oh my.' she blushes as pink as her dress. 'You are too kind, sir.'

Then, an idea.

'Say, would you dance with me?'

'Dance?' Victor raises a brow. 'Are you sure you can dance?'

'Why, I dance all the time.' she says sweetly, twirling the skirt of her dress. 'I would dance all the animals in the forest. But, more recently, someone's been teaching me.'

'Oh?' he takes her hand, as the other holds her waist. 'I hope they're a good teacher.'

'Of course he is.' she says, taking his hand back. 'A Prince is perfect after all.'

Victor watches her steps. She's more graceful than their first lesson, less stiff as she moves comfortably in his arms, and she even shuts her eyes, humming slightly as the two dance in the moment. In his eyes, it doesn't matter if she's a princess or not. To him, all that matters is that she is his and he is hers alone.
