this is for another book on my page called, If only for a moment

(MC is called Youran, based on her CN name, why she doesn't have a official EN name is beyond me)

It centres around Victor and Youran, becoming friends in high school, and spending that year together, so if you like this (and like a kinda slowburn story), I'd really appreciate it if you checked it out~!

The second chapter available now on the book, as mentioned, yeah

soz for leaving for random amounts of time, I have no excuse for that lol

o and, the rest of the chapters won't be on here, I just though 'I posted first chapters on here before, I could probs do it again'

And most of all, Thanks so much for reading!

[description]

The routine is always the same.

A year would be spent in whatever city his Mother's job had chosen next, then Victor would start the school year in September, familiarizing himself with the new setting around him, just to be crushed by the disappointment of having to leave the following summer.

So, he stops making the effort.

Victor plays the part he was born into. One day, he planned to build his own company, and so he focuses on his own work, making no effort to depend on people around him. Why would he? If all that friendship ends with is disappointment?

[Chapter 1- Black headband, Grey Uniform]

Mid-October

Victor wasn't nervous about starting his first day at school.

He hasn't been for the past 10 years. After all, he was 16 now, going into the 11th grade. But, as he stepped out of the car his Mother sent to drop him off, he felt the slightest bit of nervousness as he looked towards the high school.

Other students fit perfectly as they lingered by the entrance, talking in their cliques as they discussed the weekend prior. Would it have been so bad for him to admit he was feeling the slightest bit of envy?

Yes, it would. Victor says a small thank you as he shuts the door behind him. The driver slowly drives off, being mindful of the kids crossing, as Victor himself had to cross the road to the other side.

But, as he does so, he hears a low grumble as a car quickly approaches. Victor pauses accordingly, but as he looks up, waiting for the vehicle to pass, he spots someone ignorantly walking past. A girl who wore a black headband and sported a clean grey uniform much like his own, steps forward. Wires hung down her ears connected to a phone she stared intensely at, and Victor's eyes grew wide.

'Watch out!'

The girl's head turned at the other voice. But, it was Victor shoving her out of the way that caught her attention the most.

Victor falls on his side as his head promptly hits the pavement. At the same time, his arms wrap around her torso, shielding her from the same sort of injury. He hears the car speed away without a care, and groans as he shuts his eyes.

Amongst the voices as a crowd begins to build around them, and even the bell as it rings signaling the beginning of their first class, only one voice reaches his ear. He let go of her immediately and she sat up, shaken, but more focused on him who laid on the ground beside her.

'Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Are you alright? This is all my fault. Are you bleeding? Do you have a concussion?'

'Please, stop talking.' Victor opens his eyes, reaching for the hurried girl's extended hand and she helps him upright. 'Thank you.'
