Chapter 2: Encounters

Note: I'll be referring to Pidge as a female

Lance POV

"Not bad for a replacement, you're quite skilled and a quick learner too. Well done cadet" Iverson said to me

"Sir, Thank you sir! " I replied with a small smirk

I could get used to this

"You've got skills but not nearly as good as Kogane, shame he got kicked out. "

Kogane huh? Is this guy really that skilled? He seems interesting

Back at the dorms

"So who is this Kogane guy anyways? "
I looked at hunk and Pidge expecting an answer, they looked at each other for a moment then Pidge replied

"You haven't heard of him? Keith Kogane was one of the best pilots here in Galaxy Garrison, He got kicked out not long ago because he got violent with one of the other pilots. After that Kerberos mission failed... He's been acting strangely, probably because Shiro was in it and both of them were really close. "

After she finished she looked down at the ground with sadness in her eyes

"I also heard he never had any parents nor a home, he's been staying here in Garrison and he was even trained by Shiro himself. Right now, I don't know what happened to him" Hunk added

"Wait you mean THE Shiro??? " I exclaimed

"Yep! " Both Hunk and Pidge replied simultaneously

That's so cool!!!

"Anyways let's get some sleep, I'm pretty tired after training. " Hunk said grabbing his clothes and going into the restroom

"Yeah alright" I said scratching the back of my head

Few minutes later

Ever since I got here I've never been able to sleep properly, I waited for hunk and Pidge to go to sleep every night and sneak out on my own.

I found an old room not far from out room and every night I go there to do some of the training exercises my dad taught me.

For some reason it helps me fall asleep.

Tonight though, I noticed Pidge isn't in the room I havent noticed her going out of the room

Some of her stuff isn't here either

"Hunk! Hunk! " I whispered while nudging hunk's shoulders

"Hm? What? Lance? " He replied

"Wake up Pidge is gone and some of her stuff is also not here" I said

"Pidge? " He said getting up

"I'm gonna change my clothes, I'll be back. " I said quickly grabbing my normal clothes

Soon after hunk does the same and the both of us mad sour way to the hallway in search of Pidge

"Pidge isn't in here" Whispered hunk

"Then could she be outside?? " I replied in a low voice

"Dude no way! If he's found outside after curfew he's toast! " Hunk said raising his voice slightly

"Can't hurt to try" I shrugged as I continued to walk towards the door leading outside

As I opened the door I saw a small figure sitting on the ground, with a device over their head and a few machines surrounding them.

Pidge

I walked over to her and tapped her shoulder

She jumped up in surprise and yelled at me
