School week was pretty busy with giving tests and submitting projects, all that needed to be done before the Thanksgiving holiday. I still had to talk to Britney about finishing our Biology project. The topic was easy but we needed some time to finish it off.
Sunday was hectic with William biting my ass off with lecturing me about having to do good and taking exams till midnight. I hope he never becomes a teacher. If only he was alive.
I rushed to my Biology class and saw Miss Salma strutting down the hallway. Britney wasn't there. I huffed out in frustration but sat down. The class, as usual, started with Miss Salma's dialogue,
"Take out your textbooks and copies."
The class went on as our teacher kept on talking about genetics and reproduction system. The topic never seemed to be so interesting before than it did now. I wondered how would William's babies look like. Cute, plump lips, golden eyes and- I was broken out of my daydreaming with the snap of Miss Salma's fingers. The bell rang announcing the end of school and the class.
"Guys, do remember you have to submit your projects by the twelfth of November," Miss Salma reminded us, "Bye, have a nice day."
I walked down the hall, shoulders slumped from all the exhaustion but stopped in my tracks when I saw Mikayla and Elijah parting after a kiss. I soon made my way over to Mikayla when Elijah walked away towards the practice field.
"Oh, hey Abby," Mikayla said cheerfully. I had to tell her about that night. Even if it meant nothing.
"Hey, can we talk for a sec?" I asked fiddling with my bag straps.
Mikayla frowned but walked with me as I filled her with the events of the party that seemed like a small figment of memory now.
"Don't sweat it," Mikayla said shrugging, "it's not like he kissed her or something, they were just talking."
I was taken back by her casualness. But she seemed jittery and fiddled with her fingers, gaze fixed at the ground.
"What are you hiding?" I questioned, knowing something didn't add up.
She sighed before turning towards me and spoke,
"I kissed Jaxon that night," she blurted out.
I was sure my eyes were the size of saucers at that time. But I wouldn't judge her.
"You were pretty wasted," I reasoned.
"No, I was sober when I kissed him an-and that's when I freaked out. I literally cheated on Elijah and then started acting distant with him. He saw that and started accusing me of seeing someone," she spoke, her eyes brimmed with tears.
I hugged her but couldn't help ask, "Do you like Jaxon?”
She just nodded while nibbling her lower lip, "He's the sweetest and he even appreciates my stupid obsession with Starbucks and their coffee."
I smiled at the thought. Mikayla could go on for days talking about Starbucks and the history of coffee.
“Why don't you breakup with Elijah?"
"Jaxon started acting distant with me and that's when I knew Elijah threatened him, if-if I break up with him, he will surely make Jaxon's life hell," she said.
Mikayla and I parted after I made sure she was okay.
I just have to wait till 5th of November.

William and I stayed at home most of the week, going out only on Tuesday when Aunt asked me to do the grocery shopping.
We watched movies and caught up on Brooklyn nine-nine, successfully finishing seven packets of popcorn and Aunt believing I was depressed for eating so much.
I couldn't blame her.
On Friday, I got back my test marks and was very impressed seeing I got the highest in physics. All credits to William.
"You won't believe it," I said sauntering into the room with the paper dangling in my hands.
"Believe what-" his words got cut when I held the paper in front of his face.
"Oh, hell yeah, now that's my student," he said patting me like a child.
I just shoved his hand away and climbed his lap.
"I want a reward," I said.
"Ok, let's see what I can give my one and only student," I cringed at him while he just laughed out seeing my face.
"You can teach me how to play the guitar," I said.
"Ok, let's do it then," he said giving me a small teasing kiss.
That's what we did. He showed me the cords and taught me the basics. Then he played as we sang our hearts out.
"So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are"At the end of the song, we just ended up making out. The song felt too real.
We both laid on the bed, tired of playing for so long. I positioned my head on William's chest as he caressed my hair. We just laid in silence, enjoying each other's presence.
"You know, my mom always sang me lullaby while caressing my hair whenever I would have the childish thoughts about monsters under the bed."
"Your mom sounds lovely," William spoke softly.
"She was."
"Well, I wished I had parents like yours," Will spoke. I kept quiet as he continued.
"Mine were always arguing and fighting until my mom left dad for the best. She didn't even take me with her but it was okay, she wasn't the best mom you know," he continued while I hugged him.
"My dad remarried and had a daughter with my step mom. She was nice, but wasn't really affectionate towards me but I didn't mind. My sister was my everything. She always played with me and helped me with everything," his voice broke at the end, "she was there for me in every step but I couldn't be there for her."
"Shh, Will, she knows you are there for her, and don't you blame yourself for anything," I said kissing him on the cheek and wiping away the tears.
"She knows you are the best brother," I said.
"No, Rose, I wasn't always like this. I was arrogant and carefree. I always played football and never cared about my family. My sister always made me feel a part of that family. She even made me swear on her so that I don't run away. Now as I parted away from life, I know the value."
I hugged him tight the whole time he shared his stories of his family and college.
I pondered over his words, thinking how much he had gone through alone.
But I was with him this time.
