Chapter 31- Meant to be

"So, what are we gonna talk about?" I'm trying so hard to act cool. And I'm proudly say that I'm doing good, so far. We are now in Primarosa, taking our coffee like it's our usual thing in the morning. I texted Waze that I need to go somewhere.

"I was thinking about selling the lot."

"Tell me now if you have a plan to change your mind." Though that was a good news but I need to be sure.

"Maybe?"

"You're such a jerk." I frankly said. "What are you up to?"

"You don't sounds like you're accusing me, right?"

"W-what? Me? Oh, no no." I sarcastically defended myself. Where this conversation coming? "What now?"

"You're still impatient, woman." Still. So he remembers me huh?

"Didn't know you still know me." I bitterly said.

"Of course,"

"Really, Mr. Villamonte?" He just stared at me, blankly. I remembered how cold he was while calling me with my surname. It's kinda gave me chills. How can he possibly do that, then sitting in front of me now like he never done anything? This man is unbelievable.

"So, are you still in?" His question brings back memories, when he used to ask me to hang out.

"Yeah. I'm still going to buy it."

"Good. I'll prepare the papers. Just give me your number."

"Excuse me, what?" Did he just make a move on me?

"So I can contact you for the lot." Fine! I'm assuming things what the hell?! Para naman akong napahiya. Tsk.

"Yeah, sure." I just gave him my number then he get up. "Wait!"

He stared at me coldly, "What?"

"Congratulations." For your family.

"Yeah, congratulations too. You got a nice guy eh?" He sarcastically replied. What? What does he mean?

I was in the middle of my work but I keep on thinking about our conversation earlier this morning. Anong nice guy? I saw Dane walking towards my direction. Anong ginagawa nito dito?

"Ada!"

"Alas nuebe na, ah. Bakit nandito ka pa?"

"Straight duty." I sighed deeply. Is that really bad to the point that he's keeping himself so busy? I half hug, Dane.

"Love you, Dano." I whispered to him.

"Love you, too, Ada. Thanks." We get back to work after. Just like Dane, I'm also keeping myself busy to avoid thinking nonsense. I'm moving forward.

Ilang araw na ang lumipas pero wala pa ding message si Riel tungkol sa lupa. Moving forward my ass! But I really need an update about the lot! Baka mamaya ay hindi naman pala niya totoong ibebenta.

I was in my condo today dahil day off ko. Nakasalampak ako sa sofa, naghihintay ng kung ano man ang dumating ngayong araw. Masaya sana mag-mall kaso wag nalang. Kung ano ano lang ang nakikita ko roon. In the middle of my thinking, my phone suddenly rang.

Mommy calling...

"Hello po?"

"Hi, Daf. How are you?"

"I'm doing good mommy." What is this call all about? "How about you po? Is everything well?"

"Yeah, yeah absolutely. I was just asking if you can come home this weekend?"
