"How do you even manage to play these songs on expert?" Ashton asks as I finish playing Santeria by Sublime on guitar hero.

I shrug, "My roommate at school loved guitar hero, so in our downtime, we would play for hours. I guess I just had lots of practice."

"Luke can't even play on easy." Mikey laughs as he points to the t.v, Luke missing almost every note.

"This is not easy." Luke snaps, his eyes fixed on the screen as he tries to hit the correct notes.

"You only use three fingers." I laugh.

The crowd eventually boos him off stage and he huffs, "I quit."

"Quitter!" I yell before everyone else joins in and calls him a quitter.

"Oh whatever." Luke scolds before shuffling into the kitchen. I let out a small giggle as Calum begins to play a song, Mikey and Ashton watching intently.

I make my way into the kitchen to find Luke cracking open a beer and taking a sip. His eyes meet mine as I tiptoe over to the fridge, grabbing the tea, lemonade, some mango rum, and for the hell of it—tequila.

"Hey." Luke says. I glance up at him and give a small smile before turning my attention back to the drink I'm mixing for myself.

"Whatchya got there?" He asks. I step aside so he can look at the contents in front of me before moving back in front of it and eyeballing the amount of each liquid that goes into the cup. Basically, it's a whole lot of rum and not a lot of lemonade and tea. That's the only way to do it.

"So—you're not talking to me?" Luke asks, taking another sip of his beer.

"I don't have anything to say."

"How about a 'hello' back when I say hey to you."

"Sorry–hello."

"Smartass."

I mix up my drink before sticking a straw into it and tasting it. I'm the master of mixed drinks. "You said to say hello, did you not?" I ask, taking another sip through my straw.

"Mere—"

The front door swings open and Mason appears with bags of—well, I'm not entirely sure.

"What's up kids?" Mason smiles as she steps down into the kitchen, setting the bags on the counter.

"What's all this?" Luke asks referring to the many plastic bags that now flooded the counter.

"Well, I brought some snacks and some liquor. I never show up to a party empty handed."

Luke pulls out a fruit snacks from the box, tearing the small package open before taking a bite.

"You're a good woman–has anyone ever told you that?" Luke asks, mouth full of fruit snacks. I tap underneath his chin, "Don't talk with your mouth full."

Luke sticks his tongue out at me before popping a fruit snack into his mouth and chewing loudly, which he knows I hate.

"Luke." I scold.

Luke grabs me and yanks me into him, pushing his mouth to my ear and chewing next to it. I squirm and try pushing him away.

"Lu! Stop it! You're so gross!" I yell, finally pushing him away as a smirk creeps across his face.

"Mason!" Ashton, Calum and Mikey say in unison as they enter the kitchen.

"Meredith I don't know how you could ever get tired of that." Mason smiles. I shake my head, turning to look at the four boys that clumped together behind the counter.

"I never do."

"Aw, don't go all soft on me now." Mikey says, putting me in a playful chokehold with his arm and noogieing my head.

"That's what she said."

"Real mature, Calum."

"Get off of me." I laugh as Mikey let's go of his hold on me.

"Where can I put my bag?" Mason asks.

"Oh, Calum will show you." Luke says, pushing Calum towards Mason. Calum stumbles, a blush creeping onto his cheeks as Mason let's out a nervous laugh.

"Yeah it's uhm—right down this hall." Calum says, guiding Mason down the hallway before they disappear into the guest bedroom.

"Nice, Luke." Ashton says, giving him a high five.

"I'm telling you—I'm a genius when it comes to love."

"Oh really?" I ask, cocking my eyebrow upward and crossing my arms over my chest.

"Yeah, really, Merebear. Why? Do you disagree?" Luke asks, a small smirk stretching across his lips.

"Oh maybe just a little bit. I mean—I've seen better." I say, wrapping my lips around my straw and taking a sip of my drink, staring back at Luke with flirty eyes. Luke licks his lips and turns to Ashton, "I think your sister has gone loco."

"Maybe just a tad." Ashton laughs.

"Awful rude of you to take your friends side rather than your sister." I say, folding my arms back across my chest.

Luke shrugs, "Bros before hoes."

"Did you just call me a hoe?"

"Oh relax." Mikey rolls his eyes.

"You relax."

"I am lax, so shut your whore mouth."

I gape at the 3 boys, "I'm not talking to the three of you for the rest of the night."

"Finally!" Ashton jokes.

"Seriously, I thought she'd never shut up."

"Ding dong! The wicked witch is dead."

"I'm going home."
