FLASHBACK 2️⃣ JHS

Hoseok's POV

[OUTSIDE ORA DE FIUS: HINTS ONLY CHAPTER 11]

I just finished work, and it's already late at night, around 10 pm. 

I thought that I would finally be free at home, but then I noticed a figure approaching me from the dark alley. 

"Jungkook hyung?" 

I called out to him as he walked towards me, dressed entirely in black, looking almost like a celebrity trying to hide themselves. 

"What are you doing here?" 

"Where's Jin hyung?" 

"Why do you have to know? You broke him. Why do you only care nwo?" 

"Just tell me, Hobi. I... I don't want to be mean or rude. I'm simply asking where he is." 

"Better place wherever you're not around. Stop looking for him, hyung. You fucked up big time. You fucked everything up, even his life. What were you thinking?! He nearly died because of you!" 

"Hobi! Trust me, I know. I witnessed everything. Everything that happened yesterday, I know." his voice came out shaky as if trying to hold himself from tears or from further outburst.

"Then why, hyung?! WHY? Why did you let him? Why are you so selfish? Why did you run away? I thought you loved him deeply!"

"I KNOW, OKAY! I KNOW! I DIDN'T DO ALL THIS FOR NO FUCKING REASON, HOSEOK! I fucking tried my best to keep this relationship alive, but everything went to hell, and trust me, I KNOW. BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION I'M DEALING WITH. Besides my brother, NO ONE KNOWS. You have no idea how much I suffer living with my father!"

"Then you could have just told him!" 

"For fuck's sake, Jung Hoseok. My mind was a mess! You can't expect me to think straight! I feel like a crazy old man. I just can't." We're just standing face-to-face. Seeing Jungkook tremble was a new sight for me. 

I could sense his pain radiating through his entire being, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. 

But what he did to Jin hyung was really really wrong. 

Jin hyung was and is in pain too. How could he be so selfish in this whole situation? 

"Are you okay? Are you fine? Tell me, hyung. I'm here to listen." 

He gazed up at me, his eyes filled with uncertainty. 

"I'm not okay." 

Then he turned and walked away, leaving me speechless, as if his visit had been in vain.

[AT HOSEOK'S HOUSE]

"Who is it?" 

 I approached the door to find Jungkook standing there. 

"Oh- Hyung- What-" 

"Where's Jin hyung?" 

"Why would you- You smell like alcohol. Are you drunk?" 

"I'm not drunk, I just had a few drinks. Now, tell me where Jin hyung is." 

"I can't just reveal his location like that."I heard Jungkook growl as he entered and closed my front door. 

"What are you doing?" 

At that moment, he didn't seem like the Jeon Jungkook I had known for so long. 

He appeared untamed, lost, unsettling, and more.
