TW:torture and brainwashing

"So you, uh, brainwashed me?" Remington asked after Brendon had tactlessly told Remington how and why he recognized him. This had of course been after Gerard called Violette, Viola, Autumn, and Brendon over so he could take the serum over to Jenna and so Violette could get some of the Toro meds. Remington wanted to talk more with Gerard and Ray, Shadow and Autumn didn't want to miss anything, and Brendon had no where else to go but follow the party.

"Yeah. Sorry about that. I swear I'm on the light side now," Brendon said.

"It's alright, I'm just going to ride in the other car."

"Also we're not called the light side, we're the Killjoys," Gerard butted in.

"Why?" Asked Autumn.

"Because Liseil killed our joy, so we kill theirs."

"Wow. Emo much?" Violette teased.

"Okay, first of all rude, second of all it's not emo, it's our motto. The reason we kept going strong. Our battle cry."

"Well someone should tell Patrick Stumph that. He was screaming something awful about 'Youngblood' when they, you know, removed his hand," Brendon said quietly.

Gerard sighed, "The Youngbloods were code for Jason and Viola. They were supposed to be the start of a new generation. Of you kids I guess."

"Wait, if Remington was captured by Liseil, does that mean him, Sebastian, and Emerson have powers also?" Shadow asked.

Gerard sighed, "It's a bit complicated, kid,"

"I remember it," Remington said, staring at a fixed point in the air, thinking, remembering, "We could open portals, the three of us. We could go to other worlds. Obsidian, it's real. Emerson could always see it, but he couldn't touch it with me and Sebastian. They turned Gerard and the others into living weapons of the army that would take over Emerson's beautiful world. And they made us open the door to it."

"You were the openers," Gerard said sadly. "We were the warriors. It took three tries to get Emerson, and my brother and friends and I were just the trails to get to Jason and Viola. They had their reasons for breaking us."
