Chapter 8

Jo's pov

The following week flew by me and Hero found time to see each other since Mercy was busy going on dates with Felix. He is being such a gentleman he even told me he wanted our first time to be special. He's been pressuring me to tell her about us soon or he is going to give to her an ultimatum that if he can't date me then she can't date Felix. It is now the week of the fall carnival and me and Mercy are working on the booth. "This color is perfect" Mercy says. "Yeah it is. I hope it goes good though" I say. "Hey I miss you it seems like we haven't spent much time together this week" she says. "Yeah I miss you too maybe we can go to the arcade at the pier and play some DDR." I ask her. "Sounds great how about later today" she says. "Perfect" I say. She laughs and splashes some paint on my shirt as I scream in shock and start laughing as I spread paint on her shirt. She puts her hands in the paint and wipes it across my face as I yell "ok truce truce" as I try to wipe the paint from my eyes. I head out to the bathroom not hardly able to see a damn thing. As I head into the rest room I quickly take my shirt off and try to wipe the paint out my eyes I hear whistling and guys yelling "Damn she looks like a sexy brave heart." "Oh shit is that Josephine?" I quickly throw my shirt on as my eyes clear I see Hero storming through the guys gawking at me he glares at me as he yells "what the fuck Jo get out." "Shut up FT you don't control her" Noah yells. "I'm sorry I couldn't see" I say to Hero as I begin to walk out the door holding back the tears. After realizing I had went into the men's locker room instead of the woman's one I was never so embarrassed in my life.

Hero's pov

This last week with Jo has been amazing we have to be careful not to be seen by anyone so that sucks but other than that spending time with her makes me feel whole. Her parents had a late shift one night and we spent the night watching a movie and making out. As we kissed her hands went under my shirt trailing her fingers across my abs as she moaned into our kiss I instantly became hard. "Jo maybe we should stop" I say to her. "What why?" She asks me. Because I want the world to know your mine before I take you. "Because I want it to be special for you baby" I tell her kissing her passionately. That was two nights ago. Now we are at school and it is the week of the fall carnival so I suspect Jo will be with Mercy a lot this week. I am in the shower after gym when I hear a bunch of the guys whistling and then Tuppin yells "damn she looks like a sexy brave heart." Then I hear Morgz yell "oh shit is that Josephine?" I jump out the shower grabbing a towel and run through the crowd of guys and see Jo quickly throwing her shirt on as she looks around shocked. I run up to her and yell "what the fuck Jo get out." "Shut up FT you don't own her" Noah yells. Ok fuck I'll deal with you later. She looks up at me with tears in her eyes and says "I'm sorry I couldn't see." And then she runs out the door. Fuck I shouldn't of yelled at her. All the guys are staring at me until I yell "shows over now fuck off." I quickly get dressed and Morgz comes up to me and says "hey man sorry I didn't know it was Jo at first." "It's ok mandem I know you know the deal with me and Jo" I tell him as he gives me a bro hug. "Yes I do bruv go get your girl" he says patting me on my back. I head out the locker room and go to try and find Jo. I head to the art room to see if she went back there to finish up with Mercy on the booth but she wasn't there and neither was Mercy. It was the end of the day so I decided to text her to see where she was.

Jo♥️🌍: Hey where are you? I'm sorry for yelling earlier I know it wasn't your fault all those wankers where gawking at you.

Jo's pov

After that mortifying moment in the boys locker room I ran straight to Mercy and told her about it and we decided to finish the booth tomorrow and head to the pier to dance and get some burgers, fries and shakes. As we are on the Dance Dance Revolution Game me and Mercy are doing our routine laughing and having fun when I we decided to take a break and eat. I get a text message while I'm grabbing some napkins. Mercy goes to answer it and says "why is your screen locked?" "Oh I caught my mum snooping" I say quickly grabbing my phone. She laughs and says "is it from a boy?" "No Mercy as if" I say. Reading the text quickly seeing it was from Hero I decide to send a quick text back.

Hero 🚀: omg I was so mortified I totally didn't know I was in the boys locker room. But I'm ok I'm with Mercy at the arcade on the pier we are having a girls day I'll ttyl 😘

Jo♥️🌍: ok baby have fun call me when you get home maybe I can sneak over again. If your down for it I mean.

Hero 🚀: sounds good I'll call you when you can come over now stop texting me please Mercy is giving me the evil eye.

Jo♥️🌍: You need to tell her soon remember what I said you have until the kissing booth or I tell her my ultimatum. I can't keep hiding my feeling for you in front of everyone. I've done it for two years already it's not fair we are both in this together.

I know what he said is right I have to tell her soon. I decide to test the waters. "So Mercy when I went into the boys locker room your brother saw me and I saw him in his towel and he looked really hot" I tell her. "Seriously Jo gag me with a spoon" she says making a gagging noise. "I'm sorry I can't help it if I'm attracted to your brother" I tell her seriously. She looks me dead in the eye and says "I don't care if you think he's cute as long as you don't start bumping coochies with him cuz then I will literally never speak to you again that and rule # 6 of course." "Duh Mercy I was just saying he's hot" I tell her. Fuck this is going to be harder than I thought. I can't stand the thought of losing either one of them. It would literally kill me. I need to figure this out we only have 2 days left until the kissing booth and that is where Hero will announce to everyone I am his and he his mines. If I don't tell Mercy before him will she ever forgive me?
