Chapter 32

Jo's pov

I can't believe that bitch took my fucking ring. She's so lucky I don't want to spend my life in jail or I'd beat her ass. Also I'm glad Hero came to his damn senses and realized that I would never lose my ring that easily I'm not a damn idiot. I would of noticed it was missing right away if I wasn't distracted by my dream of Mercy being pregnant. I quickly shower and get dressed putting my make up on as I wait for Hero to pick me up. Heading downstairs I see my mom and dad smiling at me as I grab a piece of bacon and eat it. "Why are you guys smiling like that?" I ask them anxiously. "Nothing dear we just love you" my dad says grinning as I shake my head giggling as I say "love you guys too." Hero knocks on the door and opens it smiling as he says "good morning Langford's." "Morning son" my mom says smiling at him as my dad gets up and says "you hungry we got plenty left." "Dad we have to go" I say irritably wanting to get to school so I can get my damn ring back. "I'll take some to go" Hero says smirking as he grabs a piece of toast and puts some eggs and bacon on it folding it in half as he takes a bite. "Men" I say shaking my head as he smiles while I push him out the door. "Hey rude" my dad says as Hero nods his head in agreement chuckling as we make his way to his car. "Babe come on I can't pass up free food" he says chuckling as he opens the door for me. "Hero let's go I want my fucking ring now" I say sternly as he shakes his head running to the driver's side and starting the car he starts the drive towards school as we listen to the radio. "Baby I'm getting your ring back you know that right" he says sadly as he parks his car in the school parking lot. "Only if that bitch doesn't call our bluff" I say timidly. "She won't baby I had Morgz tell her he had the footage" he says giving me a kiss. "Well let's go do this then" I say smiling at him as I pull him in for another kiss our tongues colliding together. All of a sudden there is a knock on the car window turning my head I see Mercy as she shakes her hand for me to get out. "Fuck" Hero groans gripping my thigh as we get out. "That bitch is gonna get smacked if she doesn't have your ring" Mercy says as soon as I get out of the car. "Sis stay out of it we don't need you in trouble yeah" Hero says sternly as I smirk at her. Felix walks over and puts his arm around Mercy as she smiles at him. "Suzie is already here mate" he says to Hero. "Good where is she?" I say looking around. "Over there let's go" Mercy says dragging me along as Hero shakes his head and puts his arm around me pulling me from her as we head to where Suzie is standing near her car nervously looking around as Morgz stands near her. "Hey Morgz you got the tape cuz I got my phone to call 911 in case she doesn't have Jo's ring" Hero says walking up to them. "I got it man clear as day you can see her go in the room and then out and she's the only one too" he says shaking his head as he glares at Suzie. "Ok I got the damn thing geeze it was just a damn prank" Suzie cries out frantically handing me the ring. "A prank are you fucking serious. You violated my girl and me by coming in the room with us while we were asleep and naked and then you steal her ring off her hand you are fucking nuts" Hero yells at her as he takes the ring from me sliding it back on my ring finger he says "this will never leave your hand again until I add a wedding ring that is" he says smiling at me. "You really are a spiteful little bitch aren't you" I say glaring at Suzie. "Please it was just for the bet I thought it would tear you guys apart sooner" she cries out. God she's pathetic I actually feel sorry for her seeing her like this. "Nothing anyone does can tear me away from Josephine she is end game for me. Plus you owe her and apology" Hero says glaring at her. "I'm sorry please don't press charges on me" she says looking at me pleadingly. "Tell people you know to fuck off with betting on us and then we'll destroy the evidence" I say smiling at her as Hero grips me closer squeezing my side. "Fine I'll tell them I swear the bet is off" she says frantically. "I think I'll hold on to the tape until we make sure this bet is really off yeah" Morgz says smirking as he walks off waving to us. "Don't worry we won't press charges" I tell Suzie as Hero takes my hand interlacing our fingers as he caresses his thumb against my ring smiling down at me. "Your lucky my brother told me not to beat your ass but a little advice don't ever fuck with my best friend again or I will knock your teeth out ok" Mercy says mockingly as she smiles at Suzie and then Fekix wraps his arm around her shoulder saying "babe you are so hot when your mad." "Oh come on mate" Hero groans making me giggle as we make our way inside the school. "Bruv you say the same shit about Jo" Felix says shrugging as me and Mercy burst out laughing. "What are we clowns now yeah" Hero says staring at me and Mercy. "No babe we love you guys your just so predictable" I say giggling. "What does that mean?" Felix asks looking at Mercy. "Men are pretty much all the same they want a female who can stand up for themselves and are easily turned on by a girl on girl fight verbal or otherwise" Mercy says giggling. "Come on your going to be late for class love" Hero says pulling me towards my locker. "So do you want me to go to your practice later?" I ask him as I grab my books. "Sure if you want" he says smiling at me. "Do other people's girls go?" I ask him curiously. "Not for practice no" he says shrugging. "Then I'm not going I'm not trying to be some clingy ass girlfriend" I say irritably. "Your not being clingy if I want you there" he says pulling me in for a kiss. "How about we spend some time with our friends and then we can meet up later" I suggest as he walks me to my class. "I can't tonight that's why my mum and dad are making me finish my transcripts for Harvard" he says sadly. "Oh ok" I say as the bell rings. "Shit you better go I'll see you at lunch yeah love you gorgeous" he says walking away as I say "I love you Hero." Quickly getting in to my class I slide in next to Inanna who smiles at me. "Hey girl is it true that crazy Suzie stole your ring?" she whispers to me. "I got it back that's all that matters to me" I say showing her the ring as she admires it she says "damn that boy loves you girl." "I know" I say smiling. Our class ends and I go grab my stuff heading to gym with Mercy. "Thanks for what you said to Suzie earlier and having my back" I tell her as we get changed. "I didn't do anything you wouldn't have done if the situation was reversed" she says smiling at me. "True although if I hadn't already got in trouble this year I probably would of punched her in the face for you" I say playfully swatting her arm. "Hey Hero warned me not to do anything plus we were on school property how would Harvard like that" she says teasingly. "I'm only messing with you sis" I say giggling. "Sleep over at my place tonight your brother said he can't hang because your parents are making him fill out stuff for Harvard" I say shrugging. "Sounds great we haven't had a girls night in forever" she says smiling as we go out to the gym and meet up with our friends Inanna, Elle and Pia. "Noah and me are in a relationship now" Elle says smiling at me. "Really that's great" I say giving her a hug. "That ring is so beautiful" she says admiring it as Pia does the same. "I can't believe Suzie stole it" Pia says shaking her head. "I heard her telling everyone that the bet is off that no way you guys wouldn't last for the long haul" Elle says smiling at me. "Damn straight they will last she's always been my sister and she always will be" Mercy says giving me a hug. We all play a game of basketball and then shower and change. As we all walk out together I see Hero, Noah, and Felix all laughing as they wait for us. "We need men" Pia says while Inanna smirks and says "speak for yourself my man is in College his name is Matthew." "Shit girl good for you" I say smiling as Hero scoops me up in his arms. "Hero put me down" I yell smacking his arm playfully. "Just practicing for our wedding day love" he says making me blush. "I'm going to start a new bet how old will they be when they make it official" Felix says chuckling as Hero smacks him upside the head making me giggle. We all grab our food and head to our table departing ways with the girls and Noah. "This sucks I'm not going to sleep for shit tonight again" Hero says pouting. "I'll sleep over tomorrow night since Mercy is going to sleep over mines tonight" I tell him giving him a kiss. "So I won't get to see you tonight?" Felix asks her pouting his lips. "Sorry babe but it's just me and sissy tonight" she says giving him a kiss. "I hate being away from you" Hero whispers in my ear kissing my neck. "Well you'll have to get used to it since you'll be far away next fall" I say sadly. "Stop reminding me please that's all my fucking parents do. It's Harvard this, Harvard that I wish I never bloody applied to that damn school. If I was in Cali I could still see you everyday" he says frustratedly running his fingers through his hair. "Hey it's ok we'll make it work we got this remember" I say grabbing his face making his lips squish in as I smile at him making him smile as I move my hands and he grabs them saying "I just love you more than anything or anyone you know that right." "I feel the same babe" I say as he leans in crashing his lips to mine. "I just love you two together" I hear Morgz say as he comes over to our table. "Hey what about us?" Felix says sarcastically. "Oh you two are great so stop it" Morgz says chuckling making Mercy giggle. "Ring looks great on you Jo" he says looking down at my hand. "Thanks Morgz" I say smiling at him. "Well we got practice later mates you ladies coming?" he asks. "Not to practices no other girlfriends go we will not be the first and seem all sticky" Mercy says as I nod in agreement. "Wow I'm surprised Hero didn't persuade you he really is a downer when your not around" Morgz says looking at me as he chuckles. "Fuck off wanker I am not" Hero says defensively. "Bruv I just mean when Jo's around your in a lot better mood that's all" he says shrugging. "He'll be fine without me for the night. He did it for years" I say shrugging. "Or did he?" Felix says suspiciously as Hero smacks him on his arm glaring at him. We finish eating and our other classes finally it's the end of the day. "Hey baby girl I love you" Hero says looking sexy as hell in his uniform. "Awwe sexy I love you more" I say pulling him down for a kiss. Mercy and Felix come walking over and we say goodbye to the guys. "A whole afternoon and night without the guys this is going to feel different right" she asks me curiously. "It will be good practice for when they are gone" I say shrugging. "Let's go to the pier" she says grinning as we hop in Felix's car. "I can't believe he let you have the keys to his car" I say smiling as I admire the interior. Hero and Felix are definitely car guys they both have old fashioned sports cars. "Well his ass wasn't letting me walk either or he wasn't getting any for a month" she says sarcastically making me giggle as she described how fast he handed the keys over after she said that. We arrive at the pier and head to the dance dance revolution game. Our favorite game in the arcade. "Come on let's see if we still got it" I say excitedly putting 8 quarters into the machine as I selected 2 players Mercy joins me and we start the song dancing as we hit every arrow in sync as the machine cheers us on yelling perfect everytime. New High Score it says at the end of the game as me and Mercy smile catching our breathes and adding our initials. "Now we are the top 2" she says grinning since we already held the previous high score. "Still got it" I say waving my arms dancing around as Mercy giggles. We head to my house and eat dinner getting a text on my phone I look and smile as I see it's from Hero.
To Jo💓🌍: hey babygirl I miss you. Practice sucked Idc what people say I want you with me always. Is that a bad thing idk your my best friend not just my girlfriend and I just love being around you that's all. Well have fun with Mercy but not too much fun lol jk love you baby always and forever see you in the morning I'll be bringing Felix by to grab his car xoxo H.

Quickly texting him back while Mercy was in the shower. I send him.

To Hero💕🚀: Awwe babe I love being near you too. We can compromise I'll come to a few practices but not all ok. I do however promise to come to every game to cheer you on. Can't wait to see you in the morning Sweet dreams babe love you Hero 💓 your girl always xoxo J.

After Mercy came out we watched a few movies and talked about the guys as Felix sent her text too. We realized how lucky we are to have found such incredible guys who actually enjoy being with us all the time. I just wished I would of had the courage to admit how I felt sooner and I wish Hero had did the same we wasted 2 years of secretly loving each other masking it with hate and scorn when we could of been having the time of our lives. Now he's going to be leaving over 3,000 miles  and even though it's still 8 months away I have this sinking feeling that time is going to fly by way too fast and before I know it my heart is going to fly across the country. After doing face masks and painting each other's toe nails we snuggled into my bed together. "Do you think we can do it not seeing them physically for months on end?" she asks me holding me close. "As long as we do it together then yeah I think we can handle anything" I say smiling at her. "Good night my little koala bear" she says smiling at me. "Good night my little snuggle bug" I say back. Quickly falling asleep in my best friends arms as I dream of the day me and her brother never have to be parted again.
