Chapter 26

Jo's pov

It's a few days after Christmas we are on our way to the airport to catch our flight to London. My parents are unfortunately still in Australia the situation there was far worse than anyone thought. I'm thankful we were able to FaceTime before we left this morning even though my mom completely embarrassed me by reminding not to forget my birth control and to be safe and still use condoms as well in front of my dad who turned beet red and started coughing. I quickly hung up with them after we exchanged I love you's and good byes. "What are you thinking about baby girl?" Hero asks me as we ride in the back row with Mercy and Felix in the middle and his parents driving us. "Just my parents and how excited I am for this trip" I tell him smiling up at him. "I can't believe our parents let you guys even do this in the first place" he says to me. "Trust me it took a lot of coaxing" I say seriously. "Dude it took forever for them to allow us to come along at first they said we could just send you two" Mercy says pointing at Hero and Felix and then continues "but me and Jo were like hell to the no we ain't letting our men go across the world with out us." "What you don't trust us?" Felix asks Mercy. "Oh we trust you guys it's the girls we don't trust" she says seriously. I just shake my head laughing as Martha says "ok guys we're here let's go." As George pulls up to the entrance and parks we all get out and grab our suitcases and bags. "Let me get a picture" Martha says smiling as we all stand together and smile Hero wraps his arm around me pulling me closer. "Ok mum we have to go" Hero says after the 5th flash of her camera. "Mercy come here baby" Martha says giving her a hug then she looks at me and smiles as she holds out her other arm I smile as she wraps it around me as she hugs me and Mercy tight she cries "my little girls are growing up so fast." "Mom stop" Mercy says as she starts to tear up. "Ok enough of that give me a hug girls" George says as he pulls me and Mercy in for a hug he looks at Hero and Felix and says "boys make sure nothing goes wrong and that you all come back to us how you left." "Yes sir" Felix says as Hero nods and grabs my hand. "We love you see you on the flip side" Mercy says giggling as Felix takes her hand. We head into the airport and check our suitcases and bags in as we wait for the plane to be boarded my nerves are starting to get to me. As my leg shakes up and down Hero puts his hand on it and smiles at me saying "it will be fine love." "I've never flown before Hero at least you've taken this flight to visit your nan" I tell him nervously. "Trust me you'll love it" he says giving me a kiss. "Now boarding flight number 267 to London" I hear over the intercom. "That's us" Mercy says excitedly. "I think I'm going to be sick" I tell her. "Oh shit Jo don't worry we will be with you the whole time" she says giving me a hug. Hero rubs my shoulders as walk to the gate and hand our tickets to the agent "enjoy your flight" she says smiling. As we walk on to the tarmac I begin to sweat and get dizzy Hero looks at me worriedly as he grabs my hand and pulls me close to him he says "baby just breathe in and out." I do as he says and concentrate on my breathing as we follow Mercy and Felix on to the plane. "Jo sit near the window" Mercy says as I shake my head no Hero leads me towards the seat. "What if I have to puke?" I ask him annoyed. "You won't puke and here chew this gum" Hero says as he hands me a piece. "I don't want any gum" I say aggravatedly. "It will help so your ears don't pop" Mercy tells me as Hero just sits there and smirks. "Fine" I huff. "You aren't going to be miserable this whole trip are you" Hero says irritably. "No I'm sorry I'm just really scared" I say timidly. He grabs my hand and rubs little circles with his thumb and I start to relax just by his touch. I lean my head on his shoulders as the flight attendant tells us the exits and safety procedures. "Time to buckle up baby" he says as he grabs the strap and pulls it around me making sure it's tight as he buckles it in. He then puts his on and grabs my hand again. "Fuck we're really doing this we are going to fucking London" Felix says as people glare at him for his vulgar language. "Felix there are kid's on this plane" Mercy scolds him as she playfully smacks his arm. "Sorry babe I'm just so fu.. I mean so excited" he says smiling at her. The plane starts moving as I chew the gum faster and squeeze Hero's hand hard as he tells me to open my eyes. Open my eyes I didn't even realize I had closed them. I open my eyes as Hero leans over me and pulls the shutter up revealing the beautiful clouds I look down and see the tiny streets and the cars look like little ants. I look over at Hero and smile as he stares at me with the biggest grin on his face. "What?" I ask him. "Your just so beautiful" he says caressing my cheek as he gives me a kiss. "Uggh please no lovey dovey stuff near me I might get sick for real" Mercy says teasingly. "Oh shut it you've already called her your sister your whole life already you'll be ecstatic when she becomes your sister for real some day well in law anyways" Hero says making me blush. Holy shit does that mean he wants to marry me one day? I'm only 16 I haven't even thought of marriage yet but now that he's said it I can't stop thinking about it. "Bro don't jump the gun here you just barely started dating and she's still 16" Mercy says laughing. Hero just smiles at her and says "I've known her since I was 2 and I already know she's the one for me but I didn't say we were getting hitched tomorrow or anytime soon." "Ok I need sleep so we aren't jet lagged we only have 3 days there I want to make the most of it" Felix says as he snuggles into Mercy making her giggle. Hero wraps his arm around me as he snuggles into my neck kissing it he whispers "I didn't scare you did I with that marriage talk." "No but we are still way too young" I tell him sincerely as I caress his cheek. "I know we are but I can't ever lose you married or not" he says sadly. "Hey we are supposed to be having fun remember" I say tickling him as he laughs. "Sorry love let's get some rest then so we can have the trip of a lifetime" he says giving me a kiss as we snuggle as best as we can and fall asleep.
