Chapter 39

Hero's pov

I groan as the morning light shines through the room Jo's head rests on my shoulder with our hands interlaced her ring sparkling in the light while mines is dark only a little light glinting off the gold. I can't wait til these are officially are wedding rings. Kissing her hand I smile down at her taking my other hand that's wrapped around her and move her hair from her face. She stirs smiling up at me her eyes bright as the sunlight sparkles in them making them shine more blue than grey. as she says "Morning my love." God how am I supposed to do this later? How can I leave her knowing she really doesn't want me to leave? Yes I heard her last night when she thought I was asleep and it made me smile knowing she didn't want to be apart from me either. But deep down I know her and I know she would want me to still go and follow my dreams of playing football. It's like I'm in a constant battle because she is part of my dream as well. Hero just man up you can do this you have her now and she is going to be your wife one day. Just thinking about that wanker Luke though is pissing me off the way he kept staring at Jo even though she was oblivious to it. "Hey I said good morning are you ok?" she says worriedly grabbing my face snapping me from my thoughts. "I'm sorry love good morning" I say giving her a kiss. "What were you thinking about?" she asks me curiously as she shifts off the bed wincing as she gets up. "Are you sore baby?" I ask her worriedly. "I'm fine don't dodge my question" she says smirking at me as she gets dressed. "Just stuff like how sad I am going to be leaving you" I say sadly. "Hero I'm sad too but we have to get through this together remember" she says smiling at me. I pull her towards me making her giggle as I kiss her face all over and her neck. "All right mister we still have to stop by your house and you fulfilled your promise I don't think I'll walk right for a week" she giggles. "Good mission accomplished" I grin smacking her ass. "I love you Hero" she says wrapping her arms around me tightly. "I love you Josephine more than anything" I say sincerely gripping her tighter as the tears brim my eyes. "Yo ready for breakfast" Felix says pounding on our door. "Be down in a minute yeah" I yell at him. I begrudgingly let go of Jo and get dressed while she packs the rest of our stuff up. We head downstairs while I shove our bags by the door and meet Jo, Mercy and Felix in the kitchen. "You look like shit sis" Mercy says worriedly. "Gee thanks" Jo says sarcastically. "They fucked all damn night long your lucky your a sound sleeper baby" Felix says chuckling. "Oi my girl is fucking beautiful all the time" I say smiling at her as she smiles back at me with her glasses on she looks so much younger. "Thanks babe" she says grinning as she passes me a plate of eggs, bacon, home fries and toast with a glass of orange juice. "Thank you" I say giving her a kiss as I start to eat. "Thanks for cooking sis" I say nodding my head in appreciation as I eat. "Welcome bro" she says smiling at me. We all finish breakfast and I'm trying not to dwell on the fact that this will be my last breakfast with Jo and my sister until they come in November. They won't even be there for me and Felix's 19th birthdays which are a day apart. Mines is August 25th and he's the 26th making me a day older. We've literally been best friends since Kindergarten having gotten close after realizing we were Birthday buddies. I eat slowly as I quitely observe glancing at Jo as she timidly eats a piece of toast. My phone starts ringing and I notice it's Sam calling. "Yo what up man" I answer as Jo looks at me curiously. "Sam" I say to her as she nods her head. "Hey man just want to to wish you and Kent good luck on going off to Harvard today" he says happily. "He said he wishes us luck" I say to Felix who yells out "thanks mate appreciate it." Sam chuckles on the line then says "I was wondering do you still mind if I sing with Jo I have this amazing opportunity but I need a full band." I trust Sam and I know how much Jo loves to sing. "Baby Sam wants to know if you'll sing in his band?" I ask her curiously. "Really I don't know Hero" she says nervously smiling at me. "Come on Jo you're an amazing singer" Mercy nods encouraging her. "I mean if your cool with it sure" Jo says anxiously. "Baby girl this is your passion I'm sorry if I was a little harsh yesterday cuz of that Luke bloke but I trust you yeah" I tell her sincerely. Without giving her a chance to say another word I say to Sam through the phone "she'll do it you just best keep any groupies away from her got it." "Yeah mate I got it tell Jo thanks and I'll text her with the deets for practice" he says excitedly hanging up after we say goodbye. "This should be fun at least we'll have something to distract us this summer" Mercy says smiling. "Did he even say when we would have this gig?" Jo asks me curiously. "Actually no he just said he has an amazing opportunity but needed a full band" I say shrugging. "You know it won't just be me and Sam in the band right?" she says wrapping her arms around my neck. Shit I didn't even think about that. But I have to trust my girl she is trusting me to go over 3,000 miles away after all. "It's ok I love you and trust you baby girl" I say kissing her passionately. "Thanks Hero I love you so much" she says smiling up at me. She looks down at her phone and her face saddens until she hides it with a smile as she says "we have to go soon if your going to say goodbye to your parents." "Sure yeah" I say sadly gathering my plate and throwing it in the dishwasher as Mercy grabs the rest handing them to me. "I'll take Felix to his parents then meet you guys at the airport" she says sadly as tears brim her eyes. "Come here little sister" I say pulling her in for a hug as she starts to sob. "I'll miss you both so much" she cries into my shoulder. "I'll miss you both too" I say sadly wiping my eyes. I look over at Jo who is biting her lip trying to keep her emotions in as tears well up in her eyes. "Ready princess" I ask her grabbing our bags as we head out to my car. "As ready as I'll ever be" she says anxiously climbing in the passenger seat as I close her door and stuff our bags in the back. After driving for a little I hold Jo's hand while the radio plays softly in the background. It's a beautiful sunny day in L.A and the sky is clear as we reach my driveway I pull in and park the car my gut churning as the realization hits me that I am about to be leaving everything and everyone I love behind besides Felix. Thank fuck that wanker got accepted and made the team with me or I'd really be losing it right now. "Hero babe let's go" Jo says breaking me from my reverie. I step out my car and let Jo out holding her hand as we walk in my house. "There my college man is" my dad says smiling as he pulls me in for a hug as I grip tightly to Jo's hand not wanting to let go. "My little man is all grown up" my mum says sniffling as she gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Mum don't cry" I say kissing her cheek. "You lot hungry we made lunch?" My dad asks us. "Please eat now that plane food is awful" my mum says sternly. "We ate breakfast a few hours ago so let me finish packing a few things and then we can eat and me and Jo can head for the airport yeah" I tell them pulling Jo who hasn't said a word since we arrived upstairs and in to my room. I push my door shut locking it before I grab her and kiss her hard pulling away I caress her cheek as I say pleadingly "baby please don't make this harder talk to me." "I'm sorry Hero I'm afraid if I say anything I might break down and never stop crying" she says sadly her lip quivering. I run my thumb across her lip as I look into her eyes I say "nothing can ever change what we mean to each other. We are end game baby yeah." "Oh Hero" she says crashing her lips against mines as I groan as she pushes me back on to my bed and straddles me. "Aren't you sore still baby?" I ask her worriedly as I grip her thighs through her pants. My erection already painfully hard. "One more time for the road" she giggles playfully pulling my pants and boxers down as my erection springs forth. She looks up at me her eyes filled with lust as she takes my length down her mouth sucking hard while her tongue is swirling around my tip and length her dainty hands pumping to the rhythm of her mouth. "Fuck Jo" I groan as my toes curl. "Mmmm you taste yummy" she moans popping me out of her mouth just as I was about to cum. "Oh your going to pay for that love" I tease her pulling her up and flipping her on the bed as I practically rip her shorts and panties off of her quickly throwing them to the floor. I tease her kissing her slow as I move down her neck to her breasts leaving wet trails until I reach the apex in her legs where I lick and nip slowly moving towards her glistening center while she grabs my hair pulling it as I groan and she puts my head where she wants me moaning as I begin to suck and lick her folds and flick across her clit while I pump my fingers inside her curling and licking at the same time. "Hero fuck that feels so good" she moans as her legs start to tremble I stop abruptly making her pout until I slam inside of her holding her as close as possible while I thrust in and out and kissing her lips while we moan and groan passionately both reaching our climaxes together. "Holy shit that felt so good baby" I pant holding on to her as we catch our breathes. "It definitely did" she says smiling at me as she messes with my hair. After we get dressed Jo throws on a pair of jeans as she is taking me on the Harley to the airport. "I have another present and a request for you though it may seem cheesy" she says nervously. "What is it?" I ask teasingly. Does she want to do that again because I will surely take a later flight if that's the case. "Well I was wondering if you could leave me your cologne and I have my perfume for you" she says timidly blushing. "Awwe baby girl don't feel shy about that I'd love to have your smell with me" I say sincerely taking her bottle and smiling as I inhale it watching her eyes light up. I quickly open my carry on bag and grab my cologne I smile handing it to her as I put her bottle in my bag carefully. "Your not taking anything else" she says worriedly. "Mum and Dad will ship it all over once the apartment is all ready yeah" I tell her as we make our way downstairs Jo quickly stops and runs to Mercy's room putting my cologne in it for safe keeping. We eat lunch with my parents as Felix and Mercy arrive joining us. I guess his parents gave him a quick goodbye since they were supposed to meet us at the airport. But they have always been like that and Felix feels more at home with us anyways. "I'm going to miss my boys so much" my mum cries pinching our cheeks while Jo and Mercy giggle at us. Jo's parents Stephen and Elizabeth already said goodbye and good luck to me in a text since they are both stuck at work. "Mum, Dad I love you but we have to go" I say anxiously. "Later son love you" my dad says as we go outside. Jo straps her helmet on handing me the spare as I smirk at her putting it on. She smiles proudly as she starts the bike on her first try and I climb on behind her. "We'll meet at the gate" Felix yells as he gets in Mercy's car and I nod my head. I'm smiling as I hold my arms around Jo her laugh infectious as the wind soars past us. Mercy pulls up on the side of us and I whisper in Jo's ear "race her baby." She looks back smirking as she revs her hands shooting the bike forward. "Oh you want to race sis let's go" Mercy yells laughing while we speed towards the highway. Jo surprises the shit out of me when she dips past two cars pulling in front of the terminal right as Mercy peels in behind her. "Cheater" Felix says chuckling. "Don't hate the player hate the game" I say chuckling back as Jo smiles at me. I take my bag from Mercy's car and Felix grabs his as we make our way to gate 36 departing for Boston. We make our way through customs and Jo and Mercy talk quietly both of them have a hint of sadness in their eyes probably the same as me and Felix look right now. I can see it in his eyes as he stares at my sister it's the same way I look at Jo like I can't believe this beautiful girl is actually mine. Jo looks up at me and walks over sitting on my lap she leans her head into me snuggling her head into my neck as I feel her inhale deeply. "Hey you'll have my cologne to keep you company til your with me again" I say sadly. "It's not the same as when it's on your skin" she says sadly giving me a small smile. I return her smile burying her face in her neck making her giggle as my nose sniffs her. "Your right smells better on you too" I say smiling back. I notice my sister and Felix caressing each other cheeks while tears fall down their faces and a lump forms in my throat. "I love you Josephine please don't forget that" I say nervously kissing her sweet lips as I taste the salt from her tears my eyes well up and I start to let them fall while she silently caresses them away kissing me passionately as I feel all her love poured into the kiss I hold her closer trying to pour just as much love into the kiss as her if not more. "Now boarding flight 36 departing from Los Angeles to Logan airport in Boston please come forth with your boarding pass" the attendant says over the loud speaker. "This is really it. Good-bye Hero I love you" Jo says sadly. "Don't say it like that Josephine please this isn't good-bye. I'll see you soon and we will talk everyday" I say caressing her cheek I see Mercy and Felix in a similar exchange as my anxiety heightens. "I love you so much so say the word and I won't go" I tell her sincerely cupping her face in my hands. "I love you so much too babe so I have to let you go. Follow your dream and I'll follow you" she says sincerely smiling up at me. "Last call for flight 36" the attendant says over the loud speaker. "Please don't turn around at the last minute that is way to cheesy even for me" Mercy says tearing up. I give Jo one last lingering kiss and Felix kisses Mercy then both of us hug the other while they hold on to each other tearing up. My beautiful girls nose is all red and her eyes starting to get puffy. I take a deep breathe taking one last look at her before Felix pulls me to the gate. Handing the attendant his ticket he walks stopping as he shakes his head not looking back. Well I made no such promise. After handing my boarding pass over I walk down the terminal as I turn around I see Jo wrapped in Mercy's arms as they cry. "I love you Josephine Langford and I love you little sister take care of each other until we are all together again" I yell out to them as they both look up at me still holding each other they give me a small smile and nod. I blow them a kiss and place my hand on my heart as I turn around and continue down the terminal into the plane where I find Felix in his seat sulking his eyes red and he's biting his lip. "Damn do I look that bad?" I wonder stowing my bag above me until Felix says "you look worse mate." Damn I said that aloud. I groan slumping into the seat as the flight attendant is going over the safety procedures and exits. "We have to vow to get through this shit together bruv" I tell him seriously. "No question" he says nodding his head in affirmation. Here it goes the day I've been dreading for months is finally here. How will I live without her touch everyday? Her presence? I feel like I left part of my heart in L.A and it's not going to be whole again til she's in my arms.

Jo's pov

I actually got through it without breaking down and begging him to stay. Of course there where tears I mean we are human after all. But I am almost an adult and I can't let his future be affected because of me. Especially when I will be joining him there in a few months and then moving in with him permanently in the fall. That is if I can get into Harvard in the first place I still have to talk to my guidance counselor in the fall. I didn't want to tell Hero this but when I talked to Mr. Hall he basically said I didn't have a chance in hell to get into Harvard. I was too basic, not out there enough he said. Maybe this band with Sam will help me with that. I hope it does. It would suck if I had to go to a different school than Hero that's the whole point of me moving there. Well besides being with him of course. After me and Mercy cried our eyes out as soon as the guys walked down the terminal my handsome man turned around yelling how much he loves us and to take care of each other. We nodded letting him know we would as he smiled at us his beautiful dimples showing and then he was gone taking a piece of my heart with him. I knew I wouldn't truly feel whole again until I was in his arms. After me and Mercy left the airport I took off on the Harley driving down the coast like me and Hero used to do. I had his sunglasses on and the leather jacket he gave me on which was keeping the sun and the cool air from making me want to stop as I continued to the beach as the sunsets the moon shining bright above me now. I arrive at the beach and head to me and Mercy's favorite spot to think as I sit down in the warm sand I stare up at the stars shining brightly above me. Remembering the first night me and Hero made love under the stars as I smile locating the star he named after me. All of a sudden Mercy is beside me as I smile up at her and she sits down near me in the sand. "I knew you'd come here" she says putting her arm around me. "And I knew you'd follow me here" I say smiling back. "We'll all be together soon" she whispers as we look up at the stars again. "Yes we will" I whisper knowing that it's true. The four of us are meant to be we are all end game.
