Chapter 21

Jo's pov

It's the night of the winter ball me and Mercy are at my house getting ready and the boys will pick us up here in Hero's Ford Capri at 8pm. It's 7:30pm now and me and Mercy are putting the final touches on our hair and make-up. We both look gorgeous in our dresses we decided to wear white shoes with a little heel. I love the way my eyes came out I used a blue shimmery eye shadow with blue eyeliner and black mascara it matches my dress perfectly. "Oh my god I'm so excited for tonight" Mercy says jumping up and down as she pulls me to jump with her. "I know me too" I say excitedly. All of a sudden my dad shouts "girls the boys are here come on down." Me and Mercy grab each other's hands after we get our phones and purses and head downstairs. I see Hero at the bottom looking up at me and he smiles as he watches me walk down the stairs. Felix is standing beside him as he smiles at Mercy. My mum is crying as she snaps pictures of me and Mercy together walking hand in hand. I reach Hero and he pulls me in for a kiss and says "you look beautiful actually more than beautiful there are no words to describe it really." I blush from his sudden display of affection in front of my parents but I look at them as Hero holds me close and they are smiling at us. "Ok we need pictures please" my dad says as they take some of all of us together, then some of just me and Hero, some of just Felix and Mercy, and then some with just me and Mercy. "Ok one more my mum says" as we head to the car "mum please we got plenty we have to go" I tell her as I give my mum and dad a hug. "Keep her safe son" my dad says to Hero as he pats him on the back. "Always sir" he says as we he opens the door for me. Felix and Mercy climb in the back and I get in the passenger seat as Hero closes the door and comes around and hops in putting the car in drive we head off towards the school. "You look so gorgeous" Felix says to Mercy. "Thanks babe your so handsome" she says as she gives him a kiss. "Ok enough guys I'm right here and can hear you" Hero says sarcastically. "Oi shut it you wanker your worse with Jo" Felix says laughing. "True" I say giggling as we all burst into laughter. I can't help but to keep glancing over at Hero he looks so sexy in a black suit, with a white under shirt and a baby blue tie that matches my dress. Guess I need to thank Mercy for that one. We arrive at the school and Hero opens my door as we all get out and head into the school it looks beautiful with sparkling lights, snowflakes hanging in the air and light blue and white under lights. "Wow" I say as Hero leads me inside I see a photographer taking pictures as everyone enters. "Uggh more pictures" I groan as Hero chuckles and says "more memories to show our kids." I gulp at his words and quickly shake me head clear we are way too young to even think about having kids but I would be lying if I didn't tell you I've dreamt of us married and having a family but not for at least 5 more years."Let's go babe" I say as I smile at him and we head towards the photographer. Hero wraps his arms around my waist as he stands behind me his head rested on the side of mine. "Big smiles" the photographer says as he snaps the picture. I go over to look at it and see it is a really great picture of us we are both smiling and look so happy and in love. We wait as Mercy and Felix take their picture he holds her from the side as she rest her head on his chest both of them facing the camera with huge smiles on their faces. "You look so good together" I tell them as they walk over. "Oh please compared to the golden couple" Felix teases us. "Are you really going to make me dance?" Hero whispers in my ear. "If you want sex anytime soon you won't make me ask" I tease him. "Let's dance love" Hero says as he leads me out the the dance floor as I giggle and smirk at him. We all dance together for awhile until they changed it to a slow song. Finally I wrap my arms around Hero's shoulders as he grips my waist his hands caressing my back. I lay my head on his chest as he kisses my neck causing goosebumps down my back. "I love you Josephine" he says as he gives me a chaste kiss. "I love you Hero" I tell him running my fingers through the back of his hair. We all decide to sit down and eat and grab a drink. We are all laughing and having a good time until I notice Mia walking towards us. What the fuck does she want? She's so pathetic. "Hey guys how's it going" she says with her fake ass smile. "It's going great" I tell her giving her an equally fake smile back. "Oh FT, Felix congratulations on getting into Harvard I actually got accepted too. My cousin Chloe already goes there so at least I'll know some people" she says smirking. "Good for you Mia but we won't be hanging out so might want to make some new friends yeah" Hero says as Felix bursts into laughter. "You'll change your mind once" I don't even let the bitch finish that sentence I stand up as I get in her face yelling "how pathetic are you? You know he's my boyfriend yet here you are throwing yourself at him and at Felix who you know is with my best friend so do yourself a favor and back the fuck off before I make you back off bitch or should I say slut." Mia looks shocked as she says "your so naive he doesn't love you really he's just using you til he gets bored." "Jo could never bore me and I do fucking love her more than anyone so get lost Mia and don't come around me again or I won't stop my girl from beating your ass" he says as he pulls me towards him and gives me a passionate kiss. "Let's go to Alex's now I'm done with this dance anyways" I tell him once we pull apart. "You sure baby we can't let that bitch ruin our night and I hate to agree with you but the dance wasn't so bad" he says chuckling. "Yes babe we compromised remember" I tell him as he holds me close. "Let's see what Merc and Felix want to do" he says as he looks over at them and says "yo you guys want to go to the after party now or what?" "Yes I could use a damn drink after that shit" Mercy says jumping up as Felix grabs her hand we all head out to Hero's car. As soon as we get up to his car I gasp. "What the fuck?" Hero yells running up to his car. On the side of his car the word slut had been scratched into the passenger side door. "Who the fuck did this?" Hero shouts pacing back and forth. I already know who fucking did it. Mia. And she is going to fucking pay for this. After calming Hero down we all head to Alex's house.
