Chapter 11

Jo's pov

I wake up and get ready for the day deciding to keep it casual with some jean shorts and a white halter top I throw on my white vans and add a little make up. I head over to Mercy's and as soon as I get there I see Felix walking towards me. "Hey JoJo what's cracking" he says walking over to me. "Same shit different day" I tease him. We both knock on the door and then just walk in like we always have. "Wakey wakey eggs and bakey" Felix yells out. "Oi what the fuck you screaming on about" Hero yells down. I laugh at Felix's expression as he yells back to Hero "just making sure your decent for your girl here mate." "Jo's here?" Hero asks as he runs down the stairs as soon as he see's me he grabs me into his arms for a hug and kiss. "Good morning" I tell him smiling. "Now it is that your here" he says smiling back. "Well hate to burst your bubble but I need to see Mercy" I tell him giving him a kiss and running upstairs as I do I hear him groan and I giggle. I hear Felix say "calm down you wanker you act like you didn't just see her two bloody seconds ago." Making me laugh again as I walk into Mercy's room I see her getting ready she is almost finished adding some eyeliner and mascara with a little lip gloss. "What's so funny?" She asks me. "Those two down there" I say still giggling. "Felix is already here?" She asks me. "Yup got here when I did" I tell her. "Want to go get some breakfast at the cafe?" She asks. "Sure I'm starving let's go" I reply. As we head downstairs I see Hero throwing his shoes on and I say "we're going out for breakfast are you guys joining or not." "What I thought we were going for a breakfast date" Felix asks Mercy. "We are and now it's a double breakfast date" she replies to him. "Well I'm starving so let's go" I say looking at Hero who just smiles and says "me too I could eat a horse I'm so freaking hungry." We head to the cafe and order breakfast and coffee. As we wait we are all talking about what we are going to do tonight. "Well we can go see a movie or something all together" I say. "Actually I wanted our first date to be just us two" Hero says. "Oh ok" I tell him. Mercy then says "well don't get used to having her all to yourself because you will be sharing her." Like I am a child in a co parenting relationship. "Guys I'm right here you know" I say getting annoyed. Just then a group from school walks in it's Chase, Noah, Elle, Olivia,Mia and Gwyneth. "Oh hey Hero" Olivia says walking over to us.

Hero's pov

I wake up after sleeping like a baby for the first time in weeks and feel refreshed. I take a shower and get dressed when I hear Felix shouting something from downstairs. "Oi you wanker what you yelling on about" I yell down to him. "Just making sure your decent for your girl here" he yells back. "Jo's here" I say running down the stairs and then I see her and my heart stops she looks so beautiful in a her little jean shorts and white halter top. I pull her in for a hug and kiss and she says "good morning." "Now it is that your here" I tell her. "Well I hate to burst your bubble but I need to see Mercy" she says kissing me and then running upstairs. I groan at the lost of contact from her and Felix says "calm down you wanker you act like you didn't just see her two bloody seconds ago." I hear Jo laughing and I start laughing and shaking my head I say to Felix "I know mate you know I don't do emotions well." "Well you better get used to it then because your going to be dealing with a lot of them in a relationship" he says. "Sure,sure" I  tell him. And then the girls come downstairs Jo says "we are going for breakfast are you guys joining or not." "What I thought we were going on a breakfast date" Felix asks Mercy and she looks at him and smiles saying "we are now it's a double breakfast date." We agree that we are all starving and head to the cafe down the street. I hold Jo's hand the whole way there and then we all sit down and order breakfast and coffees. While we are eating and talking I see a group from school come in. Fucking Chase this should be just great. "Oh hey Hero" Olivia says walking towards us as she tries to give me hug I awkwardly lean away. "Hey" I say to the group. Chase looks at Jo and my blood boils he leans down to whisper something in her ear but she puts her hand up and says "what ever it is you can say it in front of everyone." "I just wanted to say how sorry I am for the other night I was really drunk not that I'm excusing my behavior I just don't know what the fuck I was doing" he tells her exasperatedly. "Thanks for apologizing" she tells him. "No problem maybe I can make it up to you somehow" he asks her looking at her like she's the only girl in the room the way I look at her. "You don't need to make it up to my girlfriend" I tell him. He turns and looks at me smirking and says "oh so she's not your little sister anymore now she's your girlfriend." "I never was his little sister" Jo says. "Exactly I only said that shit to keep jackasses like you away from her and when I saw that wasn't working anymore I decided to switch my tactics" I tell him smirking back. "Oh Hero you don't do relationships though remember" Mia says laughing. "Yeah not with any of you" I say laughing at her. "She's probably just another one of his conquest anyways I bet she's worth a lot in the book" Gwyneth says. "What fucking book?" Jo asks her. "Awwe poor naive little Josephine you'll have to find out for yourself" Olivia says pulling her friends away. Jo gets up and starts to leave I immediately follow her with Felix and Mercy right behind me. As we are leaving I here Mercy shout to girls "all you bitches are just jealous of Jo get over yourselves for once in your lives." As I catch up to Jo I grab her hand saying "hey slow down, talk to me." She pulls her hand away and says "what book are they talking about Hero?" Fuck why do I have to be the one to tell her about the book and why did the other girls even know it's supposed to be a fucking secret. "Um it's just a book that some of the guys made up that tally points for how many girls you've hooked up with" I tell her. "Seriously Hero that is fucking sick" she says looking at me with disgust in her eyes. "So how much am I worth then is that what this is all about getting me before anyone else does?" She yells at me before I can answer she grabs Mercy and starts storming off. "Jo stop please" I yell out to her. "No Hero this was all a big mistake" she says. Felix just looks at me and shakes his head saying "I told you not to fuck with that book mate." "Shit I know ok now I need to fix this shit and fast" I tell him.

Jo's pov

After the encounter at the cafe I am beyond pissed. I storm out the cafe not bothering to wait for the others and I feel Hero as he runs up and grabs my hand yelling "hey slow down, talk to me." I pull my hand away and say "what book are they talking about Hero?" He looks at me and I see guilt, shame written all over his face as he stutters out "um it's just a book that some of the guys made up that tally points for how many girls you've hooked up with." Is that all I am to him some fucking point in a book? That is sick.
"Seriously Hero that is fucking sick" I tell him with venom in my voice and then continue with "so how much am I worth then is that what this is all about getting me before anyone else does?" I don't bother letting him answer as I drag Mercy away from them I hear Hero shout "Jo please stop." "No Hero this was all a big mistake" I yell out to him as I continue to walk faster with Mercy. "Shit Jo slow down" she says. We get to my house and I hurry and run to my room making it all the way there before I burst out in tears. "I should of known it would be like this" I say in between sobs. "No Jo you are not letting those bitches get to you they are just jealous sluts" she says grabbing my pillow and smacking me with it. "They were telling the truth about the book though" I tell her. "Yeah that is some sick shit but I also know my brother better than those hoes do and I can tell it's different with you" she says. "How can you tell he's never even been in a relationship before" I say exasperated. "Exactly and that's all he wants with you so if it was just for the book then he wouldn't try this hard" she tells me. "I don't know Merc I think this is for the best if we just end it now before anyone gets hurt" I tell her. "Seriously after all the trouble you went through to get him your going to give up that easily" she teases me. "You didn't want us to be together anyways" I remind her. "Touche but now that I've seen the two of you together I don't think I've ever seen either of you so happy before" she says. "I'll think about it" I tell her. All of a sudden Mercy's phone beeps she tells me it's a text from Felix saying that Hero is gutted and he doesn't know how to handle a crying mate. Hero is crying? He never cries or if he does he's never did it in front of anyone before. Fuck me can't we just live our lives without outside influences coming in between us. "Mercy just go home for now ok I need a little space to think about everything" I tell her. She smiles and give me a hug saying "everything will work out sis I just know it." "Bye love you" I tell her. "Love you more bitch" she says as she leaves.

Hero's pov

After Jo ran off with Mercy I thought I would find them back at the house but when me and Felix got there no one was home. "Fuck" I yell out punching my wall. "Fuck Hero calm down mate" Felix says. "I can't keep calm I'm losing Jo before I ever even had a chance with her" I say starting to lose my composure the tears that I never let fall come streaming down my face. I hear Felix muttering and texting someone. "Who the fuck are you texting?" I ask him. "Mercy" he replies. I continue to sob as I try to think of ways I can fix this we haven't even went on a real date yet just the two of us and this shit happens. Some time passes as I sit with my head in my hands contemplating whether I should go to Jo's right now or wait when Mercy comes barging in my room I hear Felix say "thank fuck your here I don't know what to do with him he's been a fucking statue for the last 30 mins." "Get the fuck up" Mercy says pulling me by my arms. "What Mercy no just leave me alone right now" I tell her. "Look dick head you better make this right with her" she says. "She doesn't want me too she told me we were a big mistake" I say in between sobs. "Fuck you two are the most stubborn asses I know. She's crying over there, your crying over here how about you both get your shit together and talk this out" she says. "She's crying?" I ask wiping my tears from my face. "Of course she is you dumb ass" she says exasperatedly. "Look mate me and Mercy are going to head out for a little try and sort this shit out with Jo yeah" Felix says as he grabs Mercy and they leave my room. I head to the bathroom and splash cold water on my face and then say to myself fuck it if she doesn't want you at least you tried and decide to head over to Jo's house and try and get my girl back.
