Chapter 33

Hero's pov

Jo was right when she said time would fly by with us. It was already prom night and tomorrow is June 2nd Jo and Mercy's 17th birthdays. After new year's time went by so fast me and Jo spent every minute we could together and when we were apart I was fucking miserable. It gets closer and closer to the time I have to head off to Harvard. I officially already graduated but the ceremony is next week and I'm looking forward to it but also secretly dreading it because it's one step closer to me leaving my girl. Slipping on my tie I put my suit jacket on and spray some cologne on. "Bruv you ready for tonight" Felix says breaking me out of my thoughts as I look at him and say "more than ready." We decided to go all out this year and we got a stretch limousine and rented hotel rooms. Luckily him and Mercy's relationship seems like it's pretty solid we've had a great year all of us together. Heading downstairs we grab the girls corsages and wait for them as our parents crowd around the bottom. "Felix make sure you treat Mercy like a lady tonight" his mum Maggie says. "Mum geeze chill I got this" he says rolling his eyes. "I know Hero will take good care of my JoJo is that right son" Stephen says smiling at me. "Damn right" I say smiling back as Elizabeth smiles and they look at each other. "Come on girls your making these lads sweat" my dad yells out as I hear Mercy's door shut and the girls giggling they descend the stairs and I can't help but stare at Jo in a beautiful satin blue dress her hair tied up as two strands curl down the front. Mercy also looks beautiful in a pink sheer dress with her hair pinned up. "You both look amazing" I say smiling at them as they get closer I pull Jo into my arms making her giggle as she looks up at me. "We need pictures please" my mum says making me roll my eyes as Jo pinches me and says "these are memories." "Fine" I huff rubbing my arm as I turn around smiling wrapping my arms around Jo while our parents snap a bunch of pictures of us together, then all four of us then just the guys and just the girls. "Mum I think we got enough yeah" I say after she suggests we get some with the parents. "Let them go honey it's their prom night" my dad says smacking me on my back as I give him a smile. We say goodbye to our parents climbing in the limo as we head to the hotel the prom is being held at. "Champagne anyone" I say pulling out a bottle as I grab some glasses from the bar. "Hero where did you get that?" Jo asks curiously. "Nan sent it to mum and dad they won't miss it" I tell her grinning as I pour us all a glass. We all drink a few glasses until we pull up to the hotel a red carpet draped out front with lights everywhere. "Oh my god I feel like a Hollywood movie star" Jo says giggling as we get out. I slip her corsage on her arm as she smiles up at me and I grip her hand in mine. Mercy and Felix follow behind us as we make our way inside. "Wow this is beautiful" Mercy says looking around at all the different pictures hung up of the senior and junior class. "Awwe Hero so cute" Jo says pointing to a picture of me on the field during the last game we played which we won and Jo's voice went hoarse from screaming so loud. "Seriously I'm gonna kill yearbook for that one" I say pointing to where Jo is covered in paint her shirt barely covering her bra. "Oh my God that day I was so mortified" she says groaning. "It's still a good picture of you" Mercy says to her giggling. We head out to the dance floor as we dance to the band I figured I'd give Jo no arguments about dancing tonight this was her night. Her and Mercy excuse themselves as they head to the bathrooms. I still haven't told her that they wanted me to go to a training camp this summer for Harvard I'm suppose to leave on the 7th. That's only 6 days away a day after graduation. I don't know if I can do this to her I won't last that long without her. "Hey Hero you ok" she says looking at me worriedly after her and Mercy return. "Yeah I'm fine baby girl" I say sadly as she stares at me confused. "Welcome Los Angeles Academy High" I hear Natalie the student body president announce from behind us. We turn around as Jo whispers something to Mercy and I see Mercy shake her head looking at me angrily. "Welcome Class of 2020 to this year's prom it's theme is memories. So onward to memory lane and let's make this year the best prom ever" Natalie says as we all clap and walk up the stairs I try to grab Jo's hand but she pulls away and says to Mercy "Awwe look a picture of us on Halloween" as she points to a picture of her and Mercy. What the hell happened? "Come on baby girl I'm sure we can find some of us" I say excitedly as she rolls her eyes I grab her hand. "What's wrong?" I ask her nervously. "You tell me Hero" she says sighing. "Nothing I want to have an amazing night with you is that so wrong" I say getting irritated. "Fine let's go" she says walking forward all of a sudden I see a huge group surrounding something as we round the corner they all start applauding and I see the kissing booth set up before us. "You guys seriously" Jo says smiling as her and Mercy take a bow. Mercy runs up to the stage grabbing a blind fold she points at Felix who smirks as he runs on the stage and grabs her face giving her a kiss as everyone claps I'm looking at Jo whose smiling at them as I run on the stage "come on Jo I think it's your turn" I tell her smiling. She looks at me with tears in her eyes "why?" she says making everybody gasp. "Wha-tt?" I stutter out as Felix and Mercy look at me nervously. "Why should I?" she says as tears start to spill out. "Seriously Josephine I fucking love you that's why everyone here knows how much I do" I yell at her. "Do they Hero because it seems like everyone else also knows your leaving me in less than a week besides me that is until today" she says sarcastically. "Fuck this isn't how I wanted to tell you" I say sadly tears in my eyes. "No you didn't want to tell me at all. Maybe we need some space apart to see if this is what we really want Hero" she says as everyone looks at us shocked. "Fuck I don't want space" I say anxiously trying to grab her hand but she pulls away and starts to run as Mercy runs after her. "Bruv I told you to tell her before someone else did" Felix says shaking his head at me. "She has the room key I'll meet her up there" I tell him running my fingers through my hair. As I go outside and grab our bags out of the limo I see Jo's stuff is gone. What the fuck? Don't tell me she took off? We can fix this we have too. Running inside I quickly spot Felix and we head to the elevators as I explain that Jo might have left. I'm praying she just took her own bag and went up to the room. As I reach the door I start to pound on it crying out "baby please let me in." A few seconds later Mercy opens the door and I see her eyes are red and puffy as she glares at me angrily. "Where is she?" I cry out my tears spilling down my face. "She's over there" she says pointing to where Jo is curled up into a ball crying her eyes out. The sight alone makes my knees buckle as I shakily make my way towards her. "Come on baby let's let them be for now" I hear Felix tell Mercy as the door clicks shut. "Baby please listen to me" I say trying to scoot towards her until she rolls over and pushes me off the bed. "Stay away from me right now" she says sniffling. "I couldn't tell you shit I'm not even sure if I'm gonna go" I say defensively. "Then how come I heard it from some bitch at the bathrooms" she says angrily. "I told a few of the guys" I say nervously. "But you couldn't tell me the person you supposedly love" she says mockingly. "I do love you Jo you fucking know I do" I say irritably. "Not enough" she says timidly. "Are you serious how the fuck can I possibly love you anymore. What do I need to do to prove how much I love you?" I shout at her as the tears roll down my face.  "I talked to your mom earlier she said if you went to the training you were guaranteed a starting position. She probably assumed I knew" she says to me timidly. "So fucking what if that means losing you" I say gritting my teeth. "Hero I'm sorry I was pissed you didn't tell me but you won't lose me" she says caressing my cheek. "Fuck I'm so sorry I should of told you I'm a bloody wanker" I say groaning. "Yes you are" she says giggling. I notice that she is wearing my t shirt her legs bare as the moon shines down on us. "I don't want to leave you" I say tearing up. "Hero this has been your dream since you were a kid" she says smiling at me. I take my shoes and jacket off as I slip off the tie. Leaning back on the bed in my button up and dress pants as Jo curls her body against me. "Since when do you wear clothes to bed" she says teasingly running her hands through my hair. "We just had our first major fight I didn't think you'd even want me near you right now" I say anxiously. "Hero I was pissed and when I asked you what was wrong I was hoping you'd tell me the truth but you didn't which only pissed me off more" she sighs exasperated. "I promise I'll tell you the truth from now on no matter how hard it is" I tell her caressing her cheek as I tuck her hair behind her ear. "That's all I want Hero the truth. But it hurts that you'll be leaving me in a week" she says tearing up. "Hey love I told you I'm not even sure if I'm going yet" I say pulling my shirt off and sliding my slacks off as I lay back down in my boxers. "Your going this will guarantee your future in soccer shit sorry I mean football" she says giggling. "This is why I didn't want to tell you" I groan out frustrated. "Hero no matter what we will make it work as long as we are honest and communicate with each other" she says grabbing my face and kissing me. "I don't want to leave you" I say tearing up. "I know and I don't want you to leave but maybe it's for the best" she says sadly. "How is being away from the love of my life the best for me" I groan out. "Time apart makes the heart grow fonder or so they say" she says smiling at me. "Seriously Jo" I start to say but she cuts me off by ripping my boxers down as she says "Hero shut up and fuck me already." Fuck this girl drives me crazy. I take my time sliding my shirt off of her and then her bra and panties as I kiss and lick her body up and down memorizing every freckle, little stretch marks and curves. "Any excuse to cross dress and I'm in" she says laughing making me laugh with her. "It's past midnight love Happy birthday Josephine I love you let's get some sleep yeah" I tell her giving her a kiss on the top of her head. "Happy birthday to me" she says giggling as she turns around and places her head on my chest wrapping her leg around me as I cradle her in my arms. I know she wants me to go to the training and she is right it has been my dream. But it's also been my dream to be with her for the rest of my life. I don't think I can leave her yet I was already dreading the fact that I had to leave her in the fall. The only thing I can think of is to call my coach from Harvard and tell him that I don't need a month to get settled in before training. That will buy me one extra month with my girl. At least we can have some summer fun for ourselves before I leave. I just hope the coach doesn't insist I come early because I know my girl and she will not let me turn this opportunity down no matter how much I want too.

Ok so a little drama and some lovey dovey how did I do? Don't know how many more chapters this story will have I was hoping to end it at 50 so we'll see how it goes. Awc came out in theaters today where I live in the U.S so happy it was so good. Can't wait to see AWF and AEH even though I'm sad it will be over. Also that interview with Hero all I'm saying is we've had several people spill the tea over the years. Whether they are a couple IRL or not I will always support them and hope for their happiness.
