"sorry, i accidentally pressed on your contact name. i meant to call taehyun." kai said on the other line, causing heejin to let out a tired sigh.
"alright, i'll talk to you later," she said on the phone, taking a sip of her drink as she stared at the other side of the booth- a bit nervous to look back at yeonjun is she was honest.
"see you later. i love you~" he sang on the other line, making heejin's lip form a smile at his words.
she and the babies were extremely close. for good reasons, too. she'd known the two of them longest amongst the boys. having met huening kai and his family when they first moved to korea in 2009, and having been childhood friends with taehyun since their parents were close.
she'd always seen the two as her own younger brothers. being an only child on her end was a bit sad, so her parents would always let her hang out with the two boys- knowing that they each protected each other. all of their parents were happy to watch as the three grew up closer than ever through their childhood years, teenage years, and now traveling into their adulthoods.
"love you too, ning." she finished the call, thumb pressing onto the red ending button before she turned towards yeonjun.
"i picked where i wanted to go!" he said cheerfully, causing her to smile even bigger.
"and where is that?" she asked, following him out of the booth and to the car.
"the amusement park," he said, starting up the car and beginning the short drive away.
on the way there, the two enjoyed each other's company, both of them forgetting about the recent event that took place inside before the call.

the two sang out loudly, enjoying the fun song playing in the car as the wind from outside flowed through the car - as the four windows were down.
soon enough the amusement park finally came into view, the large spinning wheel in the middle, lit up brightly as if it were already nighttime.
a fond smile formed on yeonjun's lips as he looked over towards heejin, seeing her eye the park with shining stars in her eyes.
"ready to go?" he asked, parking the car.
heejin nodded and got out, taking a deep breath as she and yeonjun walked through the gates- hand in hand.
