THUNDER ROLLED IN the distance as Anna jolted her head up. She was surrounded in darkness. She gritted her teeth as her leg muscles cramped. She glanced around trying to remember what all happened. She remembered hoping into the barrel, and it sounded like a thunderstorm was starting to rage outside. Feeling something wet against her cheek. She raised her hand and brushed it aside. She must have fallen asleep from all the swaying.

Anna let out a yawn as she pressed her hands against the top of the barrel and pushed upward. Rain began filling her barrel as a torrential downpour began. She bit her lip, trying not to squeal as she forced her body upwards. As she lifted herself out of the barrel, the barrel began to tip over. She contained a scream as she fell forward with a hard thud, smacking the deck. She gritted her teeth and glanced around. Thankfully, no one heard her. But how could they over the waves and thunder? She crawled out of her barrel, straightened her legs, and rubbed her aching muscles. That's what I get for sitting on my knees.

Once the pain subsided, Anna rose to her feet. Her dress was now soaked from the downpour and what water it mopped up by sitting on the deck.

Her ears perked up as a familiar voice rang in the distance. "What do you want from me? Why can't you just leave me alone?"

Elsa? Elsa had made it on the ship! Anna twisted her head around searching for her sister. It sounded like she was in trouble; like her presence on board had been discovered.

Movement came from the cabin to her left and she quickly crouched on all fours behind the fallen barrel as a man in a red uniform marched past. She furrowed her brow. That was odd. Arendelle's soldiers wore a green uniform.

She quietly tip-toed, ducking behind objects as she followed the man who walked along the ship and into a second cabin. She moved in close and pressed an ear against the door.

"Captain," came a masculine voice. "Everything is set in place and the King and Queen are asleep. What are your orders?"

"My orders?" The voice was familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on who it belonged to. "First things first. Are the Northern Isles ready to prove their allegiance?"

"Yes, Sir."

"Good. Destroy King Agnarr and his Queen." The voice paused, and she leaned in, pressing her ear further. "Princess Elsa is mine."

"What about Princess Anna?"

The familiar voice let out a soft chuckle. "I have special plans for her."

Anna's mouth dropped open. She knew that voice! It killed her not being able to remember their face.

Her stomach knotted as her heart sank. They're going to kill Mama and Papa. She had to find Elsa before these men got to her first. Northern Isles? That was nowhere near the Southern Seas.

She flinched as footsteps echoed from within. She pulled away from the door, hiding under a set of stairs, just as the door swung open. The soldier she had followed emerged from the cabin, but his commander did not.

She took in a deep breath as she turned and raced along the deck. The wind howled above her, the ship tossed to and fro, and rain pelted her harder than she'd ever felt — she could barely see through the water that streamed down her face.

Up ahead, she watched as a figure backed against the railing, their cape flapping wildly in the wind.

Anna held her hand up shielding her eyes from the wind. "Elsa!" The figure didn't respond. Maybe it wasn't her, but she hoped it was so she hadn't given away her position. Though, who else would be out in this storm?
