STUMBLING, ELSA STRUGGLED to steady her feet as the ground rumbled below her. A crack split open the earth and raced her way. She quickly jumped to the right, landing on her side, out of harm's way before the ground swallowed her up.

She rolled herself onto her stomach and her arms shook as she pushed herself up on her palms, grimacing from the pain from the collision. She glanced Anna's way, finding her sister's eyes filled with rage. So much so, that fire could've burned in her eyes.

"Elsa! Watch out!"

Elsa twisted her head around and threw a hand out in a warning manner. "Olaf, stay there! It's too dangerous!"

Just then, Anna threw her hands to the side allowing the fire to shoot up her arms. Raising her left hand, she blasted a ball of fire towards Elsa.

Elsa gasped but quickly dodged, rolling onto her back then stomach to escape the fire.

A smirk pulled at Anna's lip. Moving her arms in a circular motion, a flaming vortex surrounded Elsa.

Elsa sprang to her feet, worry etching her face as she glanced around at the whirlwind of fire. Clenching her jaw, she was determined to overpower her sister and free her. Spreading her feet, she placed her hands in front of her, her fingertips inches apart, and acted like she was holding an invisible ball. Feeling the power surge in her hands, her body began to glow as the magic forced its way out. In a burst of light and cold, the power exploded and extinguished the vortex.

Smiling, she stood up straight. She didn't want to hurt her sister, but if she wanted to save her then she had no choice. She had to get those gems off her before they completely consumed Anna and she lost her sister.

Throwing her arms forward, a powerful force of cold and snow shot forth and smashed into Anna.

Anna flew backwards, her back colliding with the frozen waterfall. She fell to the cold-ice-covered-water and gritted her teeth as she pushed up on her elbows.

She stared at Elsa, and Elsa could see the rage flowing through her. Placing her hand against the waterfall, the ice wrapped itself around Anna's arm. She then thrust her arm from right to left and the ice zoomed Elsa's way.

The ice hit Elsa full force flinging her backwards.

Laughing, Anna held her hands out to the side and a swirl of air lifted her off the ground. "Give up, Elsa," she said, a wide grin on her face. "You cannot defeat me!"

Elsa panted as she once again tried pushing herself off the ground. She would never admit it out loud, but Anna was right. With her element still around Anna's neck, it was draining her power. Her sister had all the power of the other spirits, and Elsa felt like hers would soon vanish if she didn't get it back.

"Maybe you're right," Elsa said through pants. "But I don't want to defeat you." Tears pricked her eyes and her voice lowered. "I just want my sister back."

Anna's laugh grew louder as she raised both hands into the air. "That version of your sister was pathetic and weak! Always letting people walk all over her!" She narrowed her eyes. "That Anna is dead. Just as you soon will be!"

The whirlwind raced up her arms and rocks danced within the spiral.

Elsa knew that any minute now Anna would deliver the blow, and for once, Elsa felt too weak to stop her. Her power was being drained; she didn't even have enough strength to stand.

As she stared down at the grass, tears filled her eyes and clouded her vision. She had failed. She had failed to save her sister. She had wanted so desperately to free her and she couldn't do it. Now, Hans would win, but she would rather be dead than kill her own family.
