I woke up the next morning. I got up and got dressed. I don't think we're close enough for me to walk out of my room in my boxers.

I decided to put in what I was gonna wear for later today. I put on black basketball shorts, an Eagles shirt, and Vans. I brushed my hair then walked out. I walked into the living room. Brian was sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hey dude." He greeted.

I just waved. How is he so comfortable with everything so easily?

"You don't have to answer, but can I ask why you ran away, and what your home life was like?" He asked.

I nodded my head yes and sat on the other couch. I thought for a second before talking.

"Well my mom died when I was born due to blood loss. And so my dad took care of me. When I was 5 he married my stepmother and had my little brother; Max. My stepmother and I share a hatred towards eachother. She thinks that Max is perfect while I'm godawful. Mostly because I've been completely ignoring her for years and she can't stand my OCD, Depression, and IED." I gave background information.

"Wow. I never would've thought you have OCD." He was shocked. I just shocked.

"But the thing that made me snap and leave is that Max cracked my Moving Pictures record and nobody cared. The reason I got so pissed off about it is because it belonged to my mother. So the value of it to me is irreplaceable. And also my dad hit me. So I grabbed all the money I've gotten from baby sitting and the extra money around my room, packed my bags, and left." I finished.

"Woah dude. That's actually a pretty cool story. Sorry that happened to you. But know that me and the band are more than happy to welcome you as family."

"Thank you Brian. That really means a lot." I thanked.

"I'm gonna stop by Eddy's then going to the store. Do you need or want anything?" He said.

"No thank you." I answered.

"Ight. You can help yourself to anything in the fridge. Be back soon."

He then left. I walked into the kitchen and opened a cabinet. Everything was all mixed up. I got everything out of the cabinets and set it on the counter.

I re-organized everything. Putting the cups together, bowls together, plates together, and containers together.

It all looked nice and neat by the time I was done. I opened a drawer and had to do the same with the silverware. Then washed the dishes.

Alex text me telling me the time and giving me her address. And it was about that time.

I walked to my room and checked myself in the mirror before leaving. I drove to her house. I got out and opened the passenger door for her. She got in and then I got in the driver's seat.

"Do you wanna hear something pretty funny?" I asked. She nodded her head. "I actually joined a band with Eddy; your brother."

"Really? You're part of Contagious Filth? That's so cool." She gasped.

"Yeah. I actually moved in with Brian too." I added.

"Didn't you just get here yesterday?" She reminded.

"Yeah. I'm from Monterey but left home yesterday. I was walking down the sidewalk and Brian pulled me into the record store and offered me a spot in the band. So I'm not the guitar player." I explained.

"Woah. Guitar players are so damn hot." She announced.

I just shrugged. She turned up the radio a little. Hotel California was playing.

"Look, it matches your shirt." She giggled.

She tried to sing along like they did. But obviously really couldn't. And I could tell that she knew that too. Which made it pretty funny.
