They hugged each other tight. Lucas began to cry which made Brian break too.

"I don't want you to leave again. What if I never see you again?" Lucas cried.

"You'll see me again. I promise." Brian assured. "We can always video chat whenever you want." Their mom then walked in.

"Wht are you two still doing here?" She sneered.

Lucas let got and wiped away his tears. He glared at her.

"For 5 years you'd lie to me every single week saying that he's coming back soon. And now that he finally does come back, you kick him out just because of who be loves? Think about how awful of a person that makes you." Damn.

"You don't talk to me like that young man." She hissed.

"What if I liked guys? Would you kick me out too?" He asked.

"No. Because you're 16. And you have no place to go." She rolled her eyes.

He turned to me and began to kiss me for a good 5 seconds. He let go and backed out of his room flipping her off.

"Why the hell did you let him do that!?" She hissed at me.

"Cause I'm still processing what just happened and what's happening." I answered. "Also there's a stain on Brian's shirt and it's driving me fucking insane the more I look at it." Brian looked a the stain.

"Oh that's from when Eddy got high and brought a bottle of bleach to band practice because we were gonna sing a Nirvana song. He threw it around and it got on my shirt." Brian explained where it's from.

"You damn Americans are all idiots." She insulted.

"Then why would you guys spend 9 years on a statue just to give it to us idiots?" I pointed out.

He grabbed my arm and our bags and pulled me out of the house.

"Why the fuck would you use something that happened in the 1800s against her?" He hissed. I shrugged. "And for once I agree with her. Americans are damn idiots. I've thought that since I first moved there. Cause it's true."

"Yeah, we made really bad choices. But we're not idiots." I insisted.

"You threw tea into the ocean to claim independence! You had a huge festival dedicated to peace and music, but ended up just being about drugs! 37,600 people die by gun wounds a year, over a 3rd from suicide! You have the stupidest leaders ever and are divided! Your land was built on murder, slavery, theft, and betrayal!" I looked down. He was not one bit wrong. "You're all fucking idiots! And I'm ashamed to say that I'm part of it!"

"I'm sorry... You're right." I apologized.

I felt so small compared to him. Like he was a giant. Even though he was only an inch taller. I felt so mentally small. He took a deep breath.

"Whatever. It's pointless to argue with you anyway." He rolled his eyes.

We had only 2 hours before our flight. So we went to the airport. We got through security then sat down to wait for the flight.

I was looking down twiddling with my thumbs and while he was slunched over a little scrolling through social media on his phone.

"I don't want to fight with you anymore Brian." I broke the silence between us.

"You think I want to? I hate fighting with you." He replied. "You just make me really mad, or I was pissed off before and I end up lashing out."

A guy then walked up to us. Brian looked up and sighed a little.
