Soon enough we got there. We got our luggage then got a taxi to their house. I kept assure him in the car that he can do this. When we pulled up we got out. A boy was in the driveway playing basketball.
"Où est maman?" (Where is mom?) Brian asked.
The boy gasped and froze. He eventually was able to turn around and see who it was. When he saw it was Brian he ran full speed to him and hugged him tight.
"Brian!" He was in tears. "You're back! I missed you so much!"
He was talking in English. Luckily. A woman then came out of the house.
"Lucas." She called Lucas's name.
She then saw Brian and gasped. She ran to him too and hugged him tight.
"What are you doing back here!?" She asked excitedly. She let go but Lucas kept holding onto him.
"My friend and I flew here for a few days." Brian answered. "Mom, Lucas, meet Chris. Chris; meet my mom and my brother." I waved. Lucas let go and his smiled faded away.
"Only for a few days?" Lucas implied.
"Yeah. We only got plane tickets for 3 days. I'm sorry." Brian answered.
"We don't hear from you for 5 years and you plan on leaving again in only 3 days?" Lucas said before walking back inside. We both looked down.
"I'm sorry." Brian apologized to his mom.
"Don't be sorry. You know how he is." His mom assured. "I'm just overjoyed to see you again. You've grown up so much." We then all walked inside into the kitchen. "How about you go talk to him. He really missed you. His room is in the same room."
Brian nodded his head okay then went upstairs. I stood there awkwardly. I didn't know how to start conversations. And figured I shouldn't follow him.
"So tell me about yourself, Chris." She insisted.
"Well I'm 18, from Monterey California. And I live with Brian at his house in Hollywood." I said.
I didn't really have much to say about myself. I guess I'm not that interesting of a person.
"18? You're bit young for hanging out and living with a 21 year old, don't ya think?" She implied. "So how did you meet?"
"Well only last week I ran away to Hollywood. I was walking down the walk of fame with my guitar case and he stopped me. I ended up joining his band as the guitar player and he invited me to live at his house. And we became best friends. He's like a brother to me." I explained.
She opened her mouth to say something but Lucas ran downstairs to the kitchen.
"Mom! I finally learned how to play and finish Für Elise correctly after 3 months! Brian helped me!" Lucas announced excitedly. "C'mon."
I followed then upstairs to a room with a grand piano. Brian was standing at the piano playing a song. He saw us then stopped.
"Sorry. I was just... Messing around."
He seemed kinda embarrassed for some reason. I don't know why. He was amazing at piano. I honestly would've never guessed.
"You really call Rondo Alla Turca messing around?" His mom implied.
I had no idea what Rondo Alla Turca nor Für Elise was. Brian just shrugged. Lucas then sat at the piano. He took a deep breath then began. I was amazed. By the ending he started to slow down obviously starting to forget.
"Remember, it's like a chic. You go down then begin." Brian whispered.
I had to stop myself from bursting out laughing. His mom just glared. Lucas then finished. We clapped as he stood up and bowed.
"Good job. But I don't like the advice you gave him." His mom said.
"Well that's what dad told me." He chuckled.
