practice

"Tomorrow we're having band practice at 10. We go over to Eddy's." He announced.

"Cool. I guess I'll just follow you there." I implied.

"You've been there before to pick up and drop off Alex. She lives with him." He said. I nodded my head okay. "God, I still can't believe you shagged her without. knowing that she used to be a dude."

"Okay. In my defense she looks nothing like a male. And I was never told that she was." I defended myself.

"Look, I know that I'm making jokes about this. And Eddy and Markus probably will too. But just don't bring it up to Alex unless she brings it up first. It's clearly a sore subject."

"I understand." I assured.

We soon went to bed. The only thing I had so many thing son my mind. Alex, dad, how everything is moving so fast, and a Mötley Crüe song stuck in my damn head too.

The next morning I woke up at 9. I got up and got dressed and ready. I packed up my guitar and put it by my door. I walked out. Brian was sitting on the couch playing on his phone.

"You seriously don't seem like someone who like The Kinks. Y'know?" He chuckled. I nodded my head and shrugged a little.

"I grew up with my dad obsessing over them. So I know 99% of their songs." I said.

It was soon time to leave. I grabbed my guitar and we walked out. I got in my car and he got in his. We drove over there. He just walked in so I followed.

I was following him like a lost puppy. We went downstairs. There was a music set up.

"Hey bitches." Brian greeted.

I awkwardly stood there. We set up our stuff and was about to begin.

"So what song do you guys want to start with?" Eddy asked.

"How about You Really Got Me." Markus insisted.

"I don't know all of the lyrics to that song. I haven't sang or listened to it in awhile." Eddy said.

I knew what they were doing. They're all really bad at acting. I took a deep breath and began playing it. Markus and Brian joined in.

"Girl, you really got me goin'. You got me so I don't know what I'm doin' now. Yeah, you really got me now."

We soon played the whole song. Me singing the whole time. Getting out of my comfort zone completely. When we were done I looked down.

"Dude, that was seriously really good. Brian was right." Markus complimented.

"You should be backup vocals." Eddy insisted.

I thought for a moment before agreeing. We then played the 3 of their songs I learned yesterday. An hour or two later we were done. I was about to leave with Markus and Brian but Eddy stopped me.

"Hey, I need to talk to you." He said. I stopped. And looked at him. "It's about Alex..."

"It's sorry  about whatever I did." I apologized ahead of time.

"No, you didn't do anything." He assured. "I just wanna tell you that you're really cool for staying with her. Anyone else would leave the second they learn that she used to be a guy." He paused for a second. "But still, if you hurt her I will kick your ass."

"Understandable." I replied. "Uh... Where is she right now?"

"She's upstairs, all the way down the hall, to the right." He answered.

"Thanks. I'm gonna go up there."

I walked up the stairs and went where he told me to go. I knocked on her door.
