Ilang minuto rin ang lumipas nang makarating kami sa San Franco Clinic.
Nagbayad muna ako saka kami bumaba at bumungad sa amin ang mataas na building with 'San Franco Hospital' written in it.
"Kilala mo ba may ari nito?" tanong ni Gummie na palinga linga sa paligid.
"Oo." yan nalang ang tangi kong sagot.
Pumasok kami at umakyat sa third floor. Di naman kami nahirapan hanapin dahil kitang kita ang 'Del Prado Clinic'.
"Any appointment, Ma'am?" bungad ng secretary paglapit namin sa station area. Nakauniporme siya at may syringe na dala.
"I haven't yet but kindly tell Ms. Del Prado that Ms. Hishigata is here." pormal na sagot ko.
"Sure." ani niya saka kami iniwan doon.
Humanap kami ng bakanteng upuan at naghintay ng mga 3 minuto.
"You may come in." ani nang secretary pagkalabas at saka kami sinamahan papasok.
When we got inside, I finally saw my doctor after 10 months. May kinakausap pa siya pero agad din naman natapos iyon.
"Oh my Zara! I missed you!" masayang bati ni Ate Eivya nang makalapit at saka niya ako mahigpit na niyakap.
She became more prettier and thin than before.
"I missed you too, Ate!" i chuckled, still hugging her.
"Uhm Ate, she's my classmate nga pala, si Gummie. Gums, she's my doctor, Ate Eivya." pagpapakilala ko.
They shook hands and they exchanged smiles. After that, we entered her personal office. We sat at the couch and she gave us tea.
"So, how are you? Ngayon ka lang nakabalik after 10 months. Di ka man lang nagpaparamdam or even visit me once." nagtatampo niyang sabi pero agad din naman siyang natawa.
"I've been busy these past few months eh. By the way. I'm here for the checkup again." seryosong sabi ko habang si Gummie naman ay nakikinig lang sa amin.
"Oh what happened? Did it hurt again?" she asked. I can see the commiserate expression in her. She really knew me very well.
"Apparently, yes. It started about 4 days ago and then it happened again earlier at the cafeteria. Is it a symptoms?" tanong ko.
"We will know that if you let me do the 2daEcho." ani niya habang may kinukuha na box sa mesa.
I have trusted her for years so there's nothing else to worry about. Even if it's a surgery, she will still be my surgeon. If that's the case.
"Sure. Basta ikaw." sagot ko saka nagwink sakanya.
Natawa naman siya at saka niya sinuot yung hospital gown habang si Gummie naman at nakangiti sa ginawa ko.
What? As if first time ko nag wink?
Ate Eivya gestured us to follow her so we imitate wherever she goes.
Di nagtagal, nakarating din kami sa operation room. I must say that this was the VIP since may nakalagay sa pintuan. The room was covered in white, it has a lounge, a secluded bed that has many wires connecting on it and a drawer full of clips and containers.
"Humiga ka don." ani ni Ate Eivya.
Dun lamang naghintay si Faye sa couch. Ate Eiv handed me a hospital gown saka lumabas para may kukunin kaya nagbihis muna ako saka ko sinuot yun at humiga na ako sa kama.
