5 years later
Nagising ako ng marinig ang malakas na tunog ng alarm. I checked the time and it
was already 8 am. I still have many appointments today. Bumangon na ako saka na naligo at nagbihis. Sa hospital nalang ako magbebreakfast siguro. Kinuha ko na ang susi saka lumabas ng condo ko, pumasok na ako ng sasakyan and then I drove hurriedly to the hospital. Nag-park muna ako saka ako pumasok.
"Good Morning, doc."
"Morning, doc."
"Ang gwapo niya talaga."
I heard the nurses pero nginitian ko lang sila. Dumiretso na ako sa office ko at naabutang inaayos ni Lily ang mga gamit ko.
"What's my schedule today?" I asked her, she's my secretary.
"Just an invitation party from Engineer Nicolas this evening. " she answered.
I nodded and then I wore my hospital gown at saka lumabas ng office. I need to check my patient's condition frequently. Pumasok ako sa room 201.
"Morning, Doc." the nurse greeted and I just smiled at her.
"Kumusta ang heartbeat niya?" tanong ko nang makalapit sa batang babae na nagseselpon habang tulog ang nanay niyang nagbabantay. I checked her pulse and it's beating normally. Thank God, kahapon kasi mabilis yung heartbeat niya at di siya makahinga.
"Bumalik na din pong normal, Doc." the nurse answered and then I nodded.
"Doc! Look I got many gems!" the little girl said while showing me the gems she earned from the temple run game.
"Sofia, using cellphone overtime is bad for the heart, okay? Magtatampo ako pag nag pupuyat ka." I said because i noticed her eyebags are getting darker.
"Okay. I will go to sleep na." she mumbled and then she put her cellphone to the drawer.
"Very good." I complimented.
"I'll visit you again." I smiled at her.
"Call me if anything's wrong." I told the nurse.
Lumabas na ako saka ulit pumasok sa room 202. The patient and the guardian was asleep kaya i made sure I didn't make any noises. I slowly walked near the patient and checked his heartbeat and good thing, it's normal. Lumabas na ako saka ulit chineck yung next room and then hanggang sa 3rd floor. At nang matapos, ay bumalik ulit ako sa office.
I signed all of the medical documents of my patients for about 2 hours and then I decided to go for lunch. I texted Ate Eivya pero naka lunch na daw siya kaya no choice, I have to be alone.
Lumabas na akong hospital saka tumungo ng parking lot at sumakay ng kotse. But my phone rang before i could even start the engine. Sinagot ko kaagad ito.
