chapter twenty-six- b.b.

// Sitting on the couch at my new apartment, going through paperwork and different files, Clarke walks in.

I turn my head around and smile as she drops her bag and work folders on the table.
She takes a deep breathe and smiles," Hey."

" Hi." I respond, moving my work to the coffee table. She walks over and sits on my lap, burying her head in the crook of my neck. She wraps her arms around my head and I just hold her.

" Octavia told me about you and Raven."

I take a quiet deep breathe," Okay..."

" I'm not mad."

" You aren't?" I say, looking at her.

" I was mad at first, yes, because of the way I found out...but then I thought about it, and it doesn't bother me. It was a one night thing, right?"

" Yes, of course, I'd never cheat on you."

" Then I'm alright." She says with a laugh.

" I should've told you."

" I don't blame you for not. It was before we even started dating, I can't blame you for being a single guy."

I laugh, and kiss her cheek.

She says," I'm not the jealous type either, you could've told me."

" I had no idea it was your roommate."

" I know."

" How about that dinner?"

She shrugs," Let's order chinese and stay in. Maybe rent a movie. I just want us here."

I kiss her on the lips," Clarke?"

She laughs," Yeah?"

" I love you."

She smiles," Finally."

" What do you mean, finally?"

" Nothing, I was afraid that you were afraid to say it."

" Why's that?"

She shakes her head," You just seemed so weird this morning. That's why I originally called Octavia and Raven, to get some girl advice."

" Oh..."

She laughs," Yeah, and Octavia thought I was calling her about the whole one night stand thing."

" That's my sister for you." I respond.

" Maybe one day she'll be mine too. A sister-in-law of course." She says hesitantly.

" I hope so." I say smiling.

" She'll come to visit us in our small town yellow house, with white shutters and a white front door. Our kids running around the backyard while I yell that they're getting too close to the grill, where you'll be cooking the whole family burgers or something. We'll be like that family in the magazine, cliché laughing and everyone with picture perfect hair and outfits."

I laugh," Whatever you want, princess."
