You've Got To Be Kidding Me

I haven't even woken up, when Jay barges into my room.

Jay: get up we need to talk
Bri: can't you see I'm sleeping
Jay: I don't care this is more important
Bri: whatever
I say pushing the cover off of me and getting up
Jay: what's wrong with you
Bri: nothing
Jay: punching a mirror and then going on about your day is not nothing
Bri: I didn't-
He cuts me off
Jay: don't say you didn't because I seen the cameras. What's going on
I stay silent
Jay: do you need to start going to therapy again? Is it because you have a heavier work load? Is it because you miss your family? I just want to know what it is?
Bri: I don't know what's wrong
I say quietly
Jay: are you sad? Are you mad? Are you both?
Bri: no it's like I get sad but then it turns into anger. Then that anger just gets ahold of me and I either want break something or someone.
Jay: it's good that you're talking to me
Bri: yeah
I say playing with my fingers
Jays look... I know I haven't made you my priority lately and-
I cut him off
Bri: no Jay I don't care. You have a life and someone who is not your kid shouldn't be your priority
Jay: yeah but when I took on the job to be your manager, I knew that I was going to have to deal with all of this. So I shouldn't just brush it away because of some girl
Bri: I mean yeah but you were right about learning how to do things on my own. Before all this music stuff I was so independent, and I took advantage of the fact that you'd do anything for me.
Jay: lets promise each other to give one another a little more freedom
Bri: I promise
I wrapped my pinky around his and kissed my hand
Jay: so are you ok? Are you sure you don't need professional help?
Bri: yeah I'm fine. Maybe we can start talking more to each other again and I'll be ok.
Jay: ok I can make that work
Bri: ok
Jay: so what's been going on?
Bri: not much really. Mattia is still a bitch. I met Ale's brother Nano, who is really mean to me. I also met his dog who is so cute. We should get a dog by the way
Jay: that's not happening
Bri: why not
Jay: we both travel a lot
Bri: true. Anyways, supposedly I'm in love with Alvaros little brother Gianmarco.
Jay: oh yeah I've been seeing it all over Instagram
Bri: yeah me and Kairi confronted this crazy girl he was talking too. Oh and me and Ro also made fun of this other girl he used to mess around with.
Jay: wow, so you've done a lot of crazy stuff in the past couple days
Bri: I guess you could say that
Jay: you really need to find some new friends
I laugh
I continue to talk to Jay the rest of the day. We were trying to catch up with each other, so we decided to just spend the day together. We were in the kitchen cooking together when I was getting a call from my mom. I pick up the phone and walk out of the kitchen.

Mom: Brianna
She says in a shaky voice
Bri: what's wrong
I say genuinely concerned
Mom: he kicked us out. We don't have anywhere to go and he made us leave our only home
She says crying
Bri: who
Mom: Jacob
Bri: you've got to be kidding me. Where are you right now?
Mom: at your tia's house
(not Bianca's btw)
Bri: ok I didn't tell you this, but I kept the house I bought in Texas. I gave her a spare key, so if you want, you can go to my house. The kids know where the house is at.
Mom: thank you

I know it's confusing but, when I lived in Texas me and my mom argued a lot. Being in the same house as her was very toxic and bad for my mental health so I had to get out of there. I had enough money to buy a house, and with Jays help I made it possible to get away from her. I didn't tell her much about it because I knew that she would try to ruin it. So when I visited Texas I had to rent an Airbnb instead of go to my house.

Mom: I just don't know what to do? I'm gonna have the baby soon so I won't be able to work. I also have a crap ton of medical bills to pay. After I have the baby and go back to work I don't have anybody to watch her
Bri: mom calm down, I'll help you
Mom: how
Bri: idk we'll figure it out
Mom: I think it'll be best if you just move back
Bri: what?
Mom: I know it's gonna be hard but it would help so much
Bri: I guess if that would help my brothers and sisters I'll do it
Mom: just think about how good it'll be for them
Bri: yeah well call me when you get to my house
Mom: ok bye
Bri: bye
I walk back into the kitchen
Jay: who was it
Bri: my mom
Jay: what'd she want
Bri: I think we have to move back to Texas
Jay: what?
I tell him everything
Jay: what about the boys
Bri: I don't know what I'm gonna do. I mean I have to be there for my siblings but the boys are my family too.
Jay: do you know what happened
Bri: no, she's  gonna call me back when she gets to the house
Jay: that's good

My mom ends up calling me and telling me what happened. Jacob has quit his job, and was leaving the house during the day. Nobody knew where he was going but my mom would get mad. They then would get into intense arguments to the point where he would start breaking stuff. When my mom was at work, he started drinking and getting high and then he started kicking the kids out. Telling them that they needed to leave and get out of his house. I just don't know how I'm gonna tell the boys I'm leaving. Hopefully they'll  understand
