Chapter 58 - Divulgement

"Jim", Jennifer shouts from below while Jim and I hastily release and share a awkward grin. "Come down with Eila", she tells again. And we both do the same. After we get down Jennifer guides me to the cafe and I take in the whole captivating look of the cafe which is decorated with white wooden round tables with four same colour decorated chairs for each, some contains three chairs while some contains two. It actually depends upon which one you'll choose. The cash counter is at a corner and beside that is the baking and kitchen area of the cafe. The front side is composed of whole glass where the entry door attaches. There is no wall in the front. There are many small flower and varieties of leaves planted on the opposite wall of the entrance by making step by step shelves and I must say this thing looks amazingly pretty and attractive. There are some hanging flower pots from the ceiling on each table and this things surely enchants. The cafe is surely not that much huge nor that much small and simple sweet homely one and I'm certainly loving the environment it offers. "Wowww. It's beautiful", I finally say the words.

"You think so?" Jennifer grins.

"Yeah. It's just amazing", I am still spell bound by the beauty of this place. Walking past the customers we three sit at a corner taking hold of an empty table with three chairs and I can't control myself from tasting the coffee since the sweet smell is flooding down my nostrils. "Ben", Jennifer calls someone and soon I see a young man dressed in a whole black uniform approaching near with a small notepad and a pen in his hand. "Meet Eila. And Eila, he's Ben", a part time worker in this cafe. "HI", I warmly greet while he responds with the same warm tone. "Jennifer, who is she?" He asks unable to recognize me. "Ohh. She's Jim's girlfriend", Jennifer introduces with a teasy gush and this certainly makes me blush while Jim just grinning at me and I make a eyes at him. "Woooo. Are you serious?" Ben acts in disbelief. "Congrats pal. You finally found one", Ben shakes a hand with Jim while he gladly takes back with a awkward smile.

"Thanks", he brushes the back of his head. 

"So what can I get for you?" Ben asks and Jennifer faces me, "What would you like to have?" Well, I don't know. If I could, I'll try all the things available in here but I don't go for saying this, what they might think after all? "Anything", I just reply.

"Okay Ben, bring three cappuccino and chocolate pastries", Jennifer states and Ben notes them down.

"Noted", he grins, "You order will soon be served", he acts in a friendly tone and I must say, the whole environment is so congenial here. But what makes me wonder is, I met almost all, Jennifer is cool, Sam is cool, I mean they all are friendly and not a Robo like Jim. Then why did Jim born as a Robo? This thought makes me laugh out loud inwardly which I don't express in front of them. "Hey. Call Sam too", I suddenly remember since his house is just beside".

"Yeah Jim. Go and bring Sam", Jennifer nods with me and Jim gets up from his chair, "You both stay then, I'm coming soon", and soon he heads out while only me and Jennifer are left behind.

"Eila", Jennifer addresses me which makes me face her. "I'm really very happy for you both. I know my son is a weirdo", I chuckle, so even she thinks the same? "But I'm glad that he found you. I know you'll always keep loving him", she hold one hand of mine and I immediately wrap my another around around hers giving a convincing look. "I always will", I assure.

"I know. I don't know why but the moment I saw you I knew you are the right one for him. I trust you", I try hard to hold back my tears since this kind of reticence is surely making me emotional right now. I don't know how to react or what to say. "Thanks for trusting me. I'll never let you down", I finally come up.

"Hey", as we both are indulged in our conversation we hear a female voice from beside and turn to see she's Winnie! "Hey", Jennifer get up from her chair as Winnie approaches near and hugs her. "Long time no see", she exclaims.

"That's why I came to visit", Winnie responds and I get up from my chair to wave her. "Hi".

"Hello", she warmly gives back. "You both know each other?" Jennifer asks.

"Yeah", Winnie responds before can. "Oh yeah, you are in same college right?" Jennifer asks upon realizing and we both nod as we sit. "So Winnie, how was your tour?"

"It was great", she responds. "How's everything going on here?"

"Great", Jennifer replies while I'm wondering how they both know each other?

"You know each other?" I finally dare to ask in a fiddly voice.

"Yeah, since long", Winnie responds. "My Dad and Mr.D'Cruz were business partners also we were in same colony in Boston. So we just have a previous bond", she exclaims and I don't know why this is making me feel uncomfortable. I'm missing Jim. What's taking him so long?

"Eila", Jennifer calls. "Are you okay baby?" 

"Yeah. I'm good".

"Ohh", after which she calls Ben and asks for two extra cappuccinos and pasties for Winnie and Sam. "How's your Dad?" Jennifer asks Winnie.

"He's doing great. And Eila, how's Emi and everyone in your family?" Winnie asks me.

"All are great".

"Oh yeah. I forgot to ask", Jennifer states. "Who are in your family by the way?"

"My auntie, I mean Katherine auntie, she's my Mom's sister, my cousin Emi and her father John."

"And your Mom and Dad?" I guess she doesn't know about them.

"My Mom died when was eight", There is a clear sign of grief in my voice which I try hard to get off, "And Dad.. He left us back then", I can see the motherly affection growing in Jennifer's eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know..", as she begins I interrupts, "You don't have to be sorry. It's alright", as we both are engaged in conversation I see Winnie's staring at us with a blank look on her face.

"What's his name by the way?" Winnie asks shifting on her chair as she leans forward.

"Whose name?"

"Your father?" Why is she asking this. 

"David D'Souza".

"What?" I turn at Jennifer as she exclaims. All I can see is a void look all over her face and in no way I can figure the reason behind it. "What did your father do? I mean what he used to do?" She asks in a stern voice and I reply in an unrecognizable voice, "He was a businessman", I see the faded looks appearing on her beautiful phiz and I have no idea why. 

"Why did he left?" Jennifer asks in her same stern voice and I am getting cold creeps by the feeling its giving. I don't go for avoiding rather hit straight into the point as my eyes are buried into hers, "He killed my Mom and fled away", my voice comes with zero expression, "He used torture her everyday", this time tears drops are rolling down and I don't make an effort to stop them. "You miss him?" Why is she asking such questions!

"I hate him", I am bold yet fragile. In a split second Jennifer embraces me tight and I can feel her void look fading into some motherly, known affection. Past her I can see Winnie glaring at us with some unexplainable peer in her eyes, or I should say an uncomfortable jealous nature. Well, this thing is not new for her. But what I fail to understand is why Jennifer asked all these and what happened all on a sudden. I was worried a while back after after she hugged me, it feels everything is fine and back to place and I hope it always remains.

(So it's not a Double or Triple update. It's a Quadruple update :)
