"Anong paborito mong pagkain?" Kean asked. Nagsusuklay ako ng buhok dahil kaliligo ko lang. Tomorrow is our day- off kaya magmo- movie marathon kami ngayon sa apartment niya.
"Mom's caldereta." I answered. He looked at me intently. May sasabihin dapat siya pero hindi na niya itinuloy.
We celebrated our first month last week. Ang bilis ng araw. One month na agad kami. Lagpas na rin isang buwan simula nung mag- away kami ni Indira at hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin kami nakapag- uusap. Soon, the gap between us will grow wider and I don't want that to happen.
"What do you want to ask?" tanong ko dahil halata naman na may gusto siyang sabihin.
"Ano, okay lang ba?"
"Why not?" as said as I sat on the couch beside him. I leaned my head on his chest while he wrapped his arms around me.
This is home.
"Nag- usap na ba kayo ng mommy mo?" he said, careful because he's afraid that he might invade my privacy.
"Hindi pa,"
"Kailan mo siya balak kausapin?" he asked again.
"I don't know Kean. Soon,"
"Kylie, time is running. Hindi mo alam kung anong pwedeng mangyari bukas. Baka magsisi ka pa,"
What he said hit me hard. Knowing my mom's nature of work, she is surrounded by death threats. She's also getting old. Umayos ako ng pagkakaupo at humarap sa kanya.
"I'll text her later,"
Pinanood na namin iyong movies na napili namin kanina. I really like watching romantic movies. Feeling ko kasi ako iyong bidang babae.
"Anong sunod nating panonoorin?" tanong niya noong matapos iyong pinanood namin.
"Ano ba itong Fifty Shades of Grey, maganda ba 'to?" I asked.
Instead of answering, he just looked at me.
"Why?" I asked again because minutes passed and he's still not responding.
"Hindi mo talaga alam kung ano 'yan?"
Umiling ako sa kanya. Hindi ko talaga alam kung ano iyon.
"Ano bang meron doon? Action ba?" tapos tumawa siya sa tanong ko. He squeezed by right hand.
"Saka na natin panoorin kapag naka- one year na tayo." He said, looking at me. I nodded at him. We decided to sleep dahil 12 mn na.
After a few minutes, Kean was already asleep beside me. Kinuha ko iyong phone ko sa bedside table at tinext si mommy.
Let's meet tomorrow, mommy. I'll text you the location.
After a few minutes, she replied.
Thank you anak.
Maybe it's time to forgive her. I was able to forgive my dad when he cheated on us so I think it's kind of unfair to my mom. I just wish things will be different tomorrow.
"Aalis na ako," sabi ko kay Kean.
"Sure ka ba na ayaw mong ihatid kita?"
"Huwag na, magta- taxi na lang ako. Pati di ka pa nakakaligo,"
"Mabango ako kahit 'di bagong ligo," he answered. He walked towards me as he gave me a kiss on the forehead then on my lips.
"Ingat ka baby," he said, smiling. Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko. I encircled my arms on his shoulders as I tiptoed to kiss him. He responded to my kisses. I closed my eyes as I enjoyed the moment.
